I’m less than a day in and I’m already regretting switching to @Bell_Aliant (or @bell I’m not really sure, and I don’t think they know). The bureaucracy is mild blowing. 5 calls today, one call back (who said he was the wrong department). 7 days for their wifi app to work! Really?

@gator_gum It’s exhausting. Misrepresenting marginal as effective rates. Capital gains “tax” with inclusion rates. Constant misinformation and disinformation. Gaslighting.

@one_Chris_J @NSwilderness @AlexanderQuon What you’re saying is that part of the SK s/b mountain and part central regardless of standard or daylight is that right? That’s an issue with geography for some provinces for sure (for example NL where 1/2 is Atlantic and 1/2 in Newfoundland).

@hennebub @NSwilderness @AlexanderQuon The majority of the province would be considered permanent DST in actuality. The time zone boundary would actually be in the east side of the province if we didn't standardize to one time zone.

Saskatchewan welcomes BC to the daylight savings time resistance.
Rob Shaw@RobShaw_BC

NEW - .@Dave_Eby announces BC permanently moving to Daylight Savings Time on Sunday. Will not roll back clocks in fall. Means in winter, BC’s new time zone aligns with Alberta. In spring, Washington State. In winter, evenings brighter but sun won’t come up until closer to 9am.

@AndreaGal67 @EricRStPierre Not unique to Canada. Only specific assets with many exemptions (like real estate in Canada, registered plans like rrsps, personal property under $10k). Similar tax policies in many countries including the US. Prevents gaming the system.

@EricRStPierre "free" from the entry point. Canada will still tax you to poverty with exit taxes.

I getting a @Bell_Aliant internet and tv hook up is indicative of their future service, I might have to rethink if it’s worth the savings they’re offering.

In typical NS degrees of separation I knew her sisters Barb (provincial government) and Monica (through teaching at Dal) My condolences to them and the rest of Colleen’s family. I be at the final weekend of the Olympic trials this week, it will be exciting but bittersweet.

Saddened to hear of @cbccolleenjones passing. I started curling in 1982 when I moved to Calgary (I was told it was a requirement), the same year Colleen won her first national championship, & fell in love with the game. I continued to play recreationally after moving back to Hfx

Why does @Ticketmaster have to have to suck? The website and app both suck. Fees suck. Forever having reset passwords. It won’t let me change my location, I’ll be forever in Toronto to them (I don’t want to live in Toronto but go Jays). And God forbid you use a VPN! End of rant.

My big sister 💕It’s her birthday. She means more to me now than in our early years. All the things I admired about her when we were young, are tenfold 😌 She is an anchor, a light, and the heart of our family. HBday Cathy 🫶 you #TaurusScorpioBond

Lost traction on hike today while exploring. Slipped/slid/fell down a loose rock shelf. I knew I’d feel it in my lower back and glutes #LandingPad. Salonpas for the win. #BetterNotBruised

Please tell me that was an error. If you’re using this for feedback to improve your system (which it really needs), you need to hear all, good and bad. It was a terrible experience. Over an hour. The representative was helpful, but overall terrible service. Also, fix your online

@brianlilley Increasing these amount helps all seniors with over $24k in income so positive for seniors. All seniors unless income tested. But does not allow you to earn $34k from work tax free, just $34k total tax free (including pensions). So positive, but not what he claims

@brianlilley Max CPP (retired at 65)/OAS combined total $25K, so they could only earn $10K “tax free”. But if they have other pensions, say from work or RIFs totalling 10K, then work income would be taxed. Increasing these amounts has benefits for seniors but they can’t earn $34 “tax free” …

I've heard from seniors who are worried about CPP, OAS and GIS. Plus others who think Pierre Poilievre is mean. So, I asked him about both of these issues in our recent interview.
