🔵 @DSandersBattle sworn in as interim superintendent for @apsupdate August 28, 2023. 🔵 “Today marks a momentous occasion as we begin a new chapter in the journey of our school district” as her administration’s priorities are outlined: 1. APS will become a district of readers. 2. Shift district resources, personnel, and investments closer to the classroom and students; eliminate financial waste. 3. Transparency is the cornerstone of trust. Commitment to foster honest, open, and collaborative engagement with all stakeholders. 4. Parents of students in @apsupdate you have to make your voices known. Call the district and tell them to start their search again. It’s worth waiting rather than settling. A 💩 appointment will set the district back even further. @BOEAPS is lobbying (unofficially) today. Don’t let them do this to the students. @wykeishaforAPS @ltka1234 @APSTransparency

This post says it all. Atlanta residents- do not let @BOEAPS shove substandard candidates into the Superintendent’s role. Stop the madness. @APSTransparency @wykeishaforAPS @ltka1234

🌞 Sunlight is the best disinfectant. For those just waking up to the nonsense of the educational money pot of superintendent selections ⭕️ Mr Joseph @ HYA pushes a slate of candidates to @BOEAPS (who based on quick Google searches are either not qualified or have questionable work history but they've been packaged by HYA to qualify) and then those candidates give him consulting contracts paid for by the district that just hired him. He wins, kids lose. Rinse, repeat once the damage is done to our district. Good thing someone realized this and leaked the 3 names. Atlanta stakeholders: if you want to stop the foolishness the @BOEAPS wants to pull, you need to make your voice known. Call the district and tell them our students deserve better than the 3 finalists. Word got out for a reason. If there had been a good candidate none of this would’ve been leaked. The community panel leaked this to prevent a nightmare. @wykeishaforAPS @ltka1234 @APSTransparency

"When you have superintendents who are run out of town that are welcomed into a new town with open arms, you have to wonder why,” he says. HIYA needs to go. They package up these candidates being forced out to meet the new criteria, make a fee, kids suffer, scored plummet, rinse & repeat.

To @BOEAPS - just try to name one of those 3 finalists and I’ll grab my 🍿. Did you even look at their data? You really just think your constituents are dumb if you’re trying this 💩 on them. You really think the parents of @apsupdate are dumb. It’s the only reason. I can consider that you’d look at these three. 🤦‍♂️
