The only thing Jerome Tang did wrong was is not win enough games. Trying to fire him with a cause is embarrassing. Honor the contract and move on. @KStateMBB @Big12Conference

Update: Jerome Tang has retained Tom Mars and Bennett Speyer in the case of his firing for cause. Mars told ESPN: “If K-State’s President and AD really think the school was embarrassed by recent events, that’s nothing compared to the embarrassment that both of them are about to experience.”

Per ESPN sources, Jerome Tang plans to fight Kansas State’s for cause firing. He’s owed $18.67 million, per his contact, so this not surprising. Tang told ESPN in a statement: “I am deeply disappointed with the university’s decision and strongly disagree with the characterization of my termination.... 1/3

Not to blame the refs, K-States struggles are on K-State, but I can't stand Tony Padilla.
In all 3 games he has officiated for K-State this year he absolutely refuses to call fouls against the Cats opponent. In only one other game this year has K-State attempted less than 10FTs

S/o to Chris Klieman for knowing when to walk way and for making sure Kansas State got their guy.

Remember Penn State was confident it had Sitake locked down, too. I’d imagine there’s still a long way to go there. But if Pat Kraft somehow stumbles into the right hire all along after months of striking out over and over, that guy is one lucky SOB.
