@iAnonPatriot That's correct. Because us Europeans weren't shooting guns from horseback 200 years before your country even existed...🙄
English

@QTRBlackGarrett what do you mean "theatrical was bloated" is there a non theatrical version?
the extendedcut is soooooo much worse
English

Theatrical was bloated with a ton of extra crap added.
This is a great vid on it

Were we too harsh on the Hobbit Trilogy?

@JustMyOpinionEU @cryptomage @smclellanduk @CountDankulaTV I've just seen that the terrestrial, Scottish news has just mentioned the same details in a piece about the fire.
I trust you will call them to say they're "racist" too.
English

@cryptomage @smclellanduk @CountDankulaTV And completely irrelevant to their crime, if any of the post is true.
The only reason to quote it, and the reason it’s at the top, is because the OP is a racist, trying to enrage other racists.
English

The Union Street fire story gets worse and worse.
-shop was run by Pakistani nationals
-did not have a legal licence to sell vapes, were not even registered
-owed £10k of business rates from last year (council sent bailiffs after me for being 3 weeks late on a £2k payment.)
-the shop was sold to a new owner only 2 weeks ago
-fire was apparently caused by an overloaded vape charging station. They most likely had multiple extensions plugged into the one socket.
-Allegedy a woman had rented a room for her business upstairs and was due to open for her very first day of business literally the next day
-foreign scammers are already setting up fake gofundme's to try and scam locals who want to donate to help the business owners.

@muckledug @WingsScotland Im not just asking that in relation to whether we do, or don't, go to war. Im also wondering why they remain silent when the Islamist Iranian regime acts violently against it's own people. They fling "fascist" around like confetti, unless it's at those who actually deserve it.
English

@AndyDrawsStuff @WingsScotland Whilst the radical left may very well ALL be against fascist regimes, they are by no means ALL in favour of military intervention to get rid of said regimes.
That position is very defensible.
English

@gregjstoker Has anyone ever told you that you've more than a passing resemblance to Lilly Tino....but less masculine?
English

@caitoz Why does the radical left rightly stand against fascism, unless it's Islamo-fascism?
English

@atouchofsense @LeighSinclar @dshensmith @carolecadwalla @MikeyCycling You didn't! But you did ask why the previous poster thought that Muslims voted Green. I think they may have done it to give their religion stronger, political protection. Maybe a first step on the way to blasphemy laws as they're very fragile when it comes to Islamo-criticism🤷♂️
English

@AndyDrawsStuff @LeighSinclar @dshensmith @carolecadwalla @MikeyCycling Here we go again
Where did I say islamophonia is racist?
English

@SimonWafya @RobbieRinder Just checked for you.The menu at this particular place includes the following items that MUST be Halal for Muslims; Chicken dishes, burgers, steak pie, meat and potato pie, beef and onion pie, sausage etc. Irrelevant of this, Halal is awful.
Hope you feel even MORE educated😁
English

@AndyDrawsStuff @RobbieRinder Educate me Andy on how a Fish has been mistreated by cooking it Halal.
English

When Marlowe’s British Kitchen opened in Leeds, Rabbi Gilbert asked the Muslim owners, Jenade Yamin and Arabaab “Paddy” Munir if they would consider making it kosher as well as halal. They did not have to. It meant change and cost. Paddy thought about it and said yes.
Now there are halal and kosher fryers side by side and one long queue for fish and chips. Orthodox Jews, Muslim families, neighbours from every background, ordering the same national dish.
Everyone remained unmistakably themselves, they simply widened the table and in that small act, you glimpse the country we can still choose to be.
(My grandfather was a kosher caterer, known for his fish. I inherited none of his skill!) @JewishNewsUK
English

@SimonWafya @RobbieRinder Oh...you think modern chippies only sell fish? You should go into more and look on the hot shelf.
Hope you're feeling "educated".
English

@atouchofsense @LeighSinclar @dshensmith @carolecadwalla @MikeyCycling Possibly the fact the Greens support the APPG definition of Islamiohobia (classing it as an act of racism), whilst the right wing parties don't.
Calling Islamophobia "racist" is like calling Chrisrianophobia "racist". Neither are because any ethnicity can follow either religion.
English

@LeighSinclar @dshensmith @carolecadwalla @MikeyCycling Oh bless you, you think you've done a gotcha.
Ok, let me ask you a question, what, in their religion, made them vote Green?
English

@labenal1 @RobbieRinder Also, if you're honestly naive enough to think modern Fish and Chip shops only sell fish in the menu you need to get out more.
Regardless, my point still stands.
English

@labenal1 @RobbieRinder Hey man, send me your home address. I'll post you a load of jars so you can collect all those farts you obviously like sniffing.
English

@AndyDrawsStuff @RobbieRinder Well done. You are pontificating with such certainty on a subject on which you have proved you know nothing (as fish are not slaughtered any differently under halal or kashrut).
Next time, maybe try asking questions rather than yelling inanities?
English

@saadimugl @kingkapoor72 Still a dirty old bugger though, eh?
English

I’ll answer carefully and respectfully from an Islamic perspective.
---
1️⃣ Understanding the concern
You’re referring to the marriage of Muhammad to Aisha bint Abi Bakr. This is one of the most discussed and misunderstood topics about the Prophet.
---
2️⃣ Historical and cultural context
Arabia in the 7th century had very different social norms.
Marriages at what today would be considered a young age were common globally, including in Jewish, Christian, and other societies.
Islamic scholars emphasize that the marriage was ethical according to the norms of that time, and she was well cared for and respected.
The Prophet Muhammad was known as Al-Ameen (the trustworthy) — he was not known to harm anyone, including women and children.
---
3️⃣ Islam separates historical events from ethical teachings
Islam teaches justice, protection of children, and kindness to women.
Child abuse, exploitation, or coercion is strictly forbidden.
The marriage does not mean Islam allows abuse — it is part of a historical narrative.
Modern Islamic scholars often clarify:
Muslims today do not follow practices harmful to children.
Age of consent and child protection laws are fully compatible with Islam.
---
4️⃣ How Muslims view obedience
Muslims obey Allah’s commands based on spiritual guidance, justice, and mercy.
Actions that are clearly abusive or harmful are forbidden, regardless of historical practices.
The Prophet’s life is seen as a model of justice, mercy, and ethical conduct overall, not just a single historical event.
---
✅ Summary (Islamic View)
1. The marriage was contextual to 7th-century Arabia.
2. Islam strictly forbids harm, abuse, or coercion of children.
3. Obedience to Allah does not mean following harmful practices.
4. Muslims focus on the Prophet’s moral, ethical, and spiritual teachings, not cultural norms that are no longer applicable.
---
If you want, I can also explain why Islamic law today completely prohibits child marriage or abuse, showing how modern Islam separates historical context from ethical practice. This helps clarify misunderstandings for skeptics.

@RmSalih Preparation of Halal meat is utterly loathsome.
Change my mind
English

This hatemonger runs a restaurant in West London. And he is openly insulting Muslims.
Harman Singh Kapoor@kingkapoor72
Proudly we don’t sell Halal We don’t cater inbreds
English

@KonstantinKisin @WestminsterWAG Because her instinct to be seen as a "good person" is more powerful than her instinct to observe reality.
English

@WestminsterWAG Why do you deliberately refuse to see the actual problem and instead pretend the problem is something that is socially acceptable to say instead?
Rhetorical question, I suppose.
English

More and more, I start to think Germaine Greer was right: women have no idea how much men hate them.
Mario Nawfal@MarioNawfal
🚨🇮🇪 Irish police just released footage of a manknocking out a woman on a night out with friends in Cork. Completely unprovoked. The attack happened in November but the video is only now being made public. Why the delay?
English

@WestminsterWAG The "Men" who hate women, who you mentioned in the previous Greer quote, also seem to hate other men. Might I suggest that it's all about culture and not sex.
