Maendeleo Ya Wanawake Organization (MYWO) held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 30th January 2026, bringing together approximately 653 delegates from all the 47 counties to deliberate on key organizational policy matters. During the AGM, Hon. Dr. Mama Senator Beth Mugo, CBS, EGH, former Cabinet Minister, was appointed as the MYWO Patron following the demise of Mama Hon. Dr. Phoebe Asiyo. Upon the passing of Mama Phoebe Asiyo, the organization observed a three (3) month period of mourning to honor her remarkable legacy. Thereafter, MYWO followed the due process as stipulated under Article 25 of the MYWO Katiba, with the National Executive Council (NEC) recommending a patron to the AGM for ratification.
