Third time in a row I’ve had a Deliveroo rider (I don’t eat this shit; it’s for my son) calling me on the phone to say “I can see number 75 and 77 but I can’t see 76” and I have to say “IT’S ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE ROAD!!!” Where the fuck in the world is that not the system?
@mrdanwalker This our re-home....he has anxiety. He loves unconditionally, he makes me laugh, keeps me going on tough weeks, I have paid lots for behaviourist and training. I would not be without him. He is the 8 th re-home we have had.
2 things happened this week… a good friend sadly had to put their lovely family dog down and someone told me there was no way they would ever get a dog because they were… “too much work”.
It made me think about how much we love our Winnie.
You start by getting a dog and think that you’re looking after them but the truth is they care for you.
Dogs don’t worry about yesterday or tomorrow - they are kings and queens of living in the moment.
‘Pets’ doesn’t really cover it… they are teachers… they are friends.
They mirror you. Their fear grows when yours does. When you are steady, they are at peace and, when something good happens… they’ll celebrate like it’s the best thing in the world.
Your dog knows the sound of you coming home, they learn your walk, the rhythm of your laugh and the moment your heart sinks… you are their everything.
You are not just their owner… you make them feel safe, you are their routine… you are what home feels like.
Every walk is more than exercise… it is precious time with their favourite person.
One day… you won’t hear them rushing when you arrrive to show you how much they love having you around. I am not looking forward to that day 💔
You are not just a part of their life… you are their life.
Wishing a very Merry Christmas to all of my friends celebrating around the world. Please reply with photos of cats enjoying presents/boxes/turkey/napping x
@Climbkt Apologies the 17:58 service has been cancelled because of a burst water main near the railway. At present the 18:28 is still scheduled to run. You can check your journey here: journeycheck.com/greateranglia/… - Johnny
@MerrellUK Hi Merrell, this was a purchase late August early September..we are disappointed that the sole has already split. This is a potential trip hazard
For those who don’t know or are new here, this cretin is called Hobbes.
He lives here rent-free, bullies us for chicken & growls when he gets stroked.
He behaves ABOMINABLY with us, but is apparently “an angel” with others.
They made a film about him.
Called “The Omen”.
@RMTunion Terrible incident, which looks to have been dealt with quickly and effectively. Hoping for a full recovery for those injured. Hope that all those on the train received the appropriate support.
Stabbing on LNER train
RMT general secretary Eddie Dempsey said: “I am deeply concerned to hear reports of multiple people stabbed onboard an LNER train tonight.
“The thoughts of everyone at RMT are with the victims, train crew and all the emergency services dealing with this unfolding incident.”
@greateranglia The service and trains have improved over the years ( thinking back to days of WAGN and One). I hope that the service remains intact. How can the government manage the trains when they can't manage others services and issues that well.
@BootsUK I used click & collect, guest. Item due to arrive yesterday. Went to the boots branch thinking there was a glitch. Told not to attend unless the delivery note was received. Now 16/09/25, no delivery note. The lady was not offering information to follow up or assist me
@TooGoodToGo used the app for first time yesterday. We got 3 cakes and a loaf of bread. The bread has been used to make bread pudding. We used ingredients we had in our cupboard (Golden brown sugar, rather than dark). Letting it cool & will add caster sugar topping.
