Taxes on self employment income are insanely high. And for what? I feel like all of my tax dollars are just funding cheaters and fraudsters and shady non-profits. It’s depressing.

As a former cop, I will always stand with victims — not cartel networks exploiting sanctuary city loopholes. One year ago, the I asked @denversmayor to help protect victims. Today, he’s pledging to detain ICE instead. Colorado families deserve better.

@KelleyKga Yes, fortunately it doesn’t look like it defaults to “on” or it may be bc I do not allow access to all photos.

@GoBlue_Kris My screenshot is from the Android app. Apparently the feature is implemented differently on iPhone. On iPhone, it pulls images from your camera roll to "restyle" with AI, so the setting is found elsewhere. techcrunch.com/2025/06/27/fac…

Apparently Meta decided people might want AI to "restyle" some of the photos in your memories, so it turned this "feature" by default. I recommend disabling it if you don't want to see horrifying AI-generated versions of your kids popping up in your feed.

To find this setting in FB, go to your Memories, then click the gear icon in the top-right for Memories Settings. It's at the bottom of that page.

This is just two free throws, right? What about in a packed building of 70,000 with the National Championship on the line and 18 million tuned in? What about with no one else lined up and all eyes on him? How about to tie the game and never give the lead back? ... and don't forget to add in the fact he’s 6'9", 250 pounds of pure muscle. This is what I like to call “zenned-out”. He gets a feel for the ball in his hands first. Then closes his eyes and takes a deep breath. Last comes the arm shake, just to get one last sense of his body moving through that shooting arm. UConn never led again. 8/11 in the Elite Eight, 4/4 in the Final Four, and 2/2 in the title game.

Five teaching hospitals in Texas - including Houston Methodist - require all students to get a Covid shot in order to do rotations at their hospital. I will write a medical exemption for any student in Texas facing this mandate - free of charge. Email frontdesk@breathemd.org. If they deny my exemption, I will help you find a lawyer and raise money to sue them. mRNA shots are not safe, not effective, and no one should be injecting them into their body.

From what I can find, the Florida Gators team that won the national championship last year for 1: didn’t hold an on campus parade, 2: didn’t have a ticketed stadium celebration, and 3: in their one campus celebration, the team showed up two hours late But whatever you say man

GO BLUE, GO MICHAEL: With the University of Michigan Wolverines Men's Basketball program competing for a National Championship tonight, we thought it'd be a great time to showcase your Republican nominees for the University of Michigan Board of Regents. MICHAEL SCHOSTAK: Husband, Father, Public Servant. Michael Schostak—the treasurer of Bloomfield Township—will prioritize Michigan students at the university by improving affordability, protecting free expression and responsibly managing the university's budget. Michael is a husband, a father, a public servant, and a University of Michigan alum. He was first elected to the Bloomfield Township Board of Trustees in November 2016 and re-elected in November 2020 and 2024. As Township Treasurer, he manages over $460 million in public funds; he has balanced budgets, cut property tax rates, and delivered real value for his constituents. As a township officer, Michael is involved in every facet of the administration of a community with 44,000 residents. Bottom line, Michael knows how to work on a board to get things done. #GoBlue 〽️

Hi Kid
Hi Kid@HiKidHey·
The controversial AP US Government textbook making waves this week, thanks to Karol Markowicz’s @karol viral post, is published by Macmillan Publishers-which promotes Global Citizenship focused on Diversity Equity and Inclusion in alignment with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. Colorado is connected too—the textbook author is a current HS teacher in Broomfield and former @CCSDK12 Teacher of the Year. The author also helped redesign the AP curriculum for US Government and Politics. Chapter 1 of the controversial textbook includes a photo of a Denver protest.

Teenagers are sharing photos of their AP U.S. Government textbooks, and the sheer amount of indoctrination is wildly disturbing. Apparently, Barack Obama is ideologically a right wing authoritarian. Hillary Clinton and George W Bush are entirely indistinguishable politically. Donald Trump is of course virtually the same as Hitler. @tedcruz is apparently more radically authoritarian than Fidel Castro AND Joseph Stalin..??!!?? @Linda_McMahon — can we expedite some major changes to American public education?

In the 2022-2023 school year, there were at least 51 'trans'-identified male athletes participating in girls' middle school and high school sports in the United States. There have been at least 159 'trans'-identified males on record who have participated in girls' sports in the United States. Almost all of these have been within the last 10 years. Including boys who do not identify as 'trans,' there have been at least 517 males who have participated on girls' teams. If each male affects 50 female athletes (those they compete with and against in the conference), that is a MINIMUM of 25,850 female student athletes negatively impacted. There should not be or have ever been a single male in girls' sports, because girls' sports are for FEMALE ATHLETES. Each and every piece of legislation against this is justified.
