@flowerlady61 Very nice! We need to do a duet. Maybe we could set up across the street from the Planned Parenthood vest-wearing commie simps at Highland & Germantown Ave. in Chestnut Hill. They were out in force yesterday, I thought of youse!

@flowerlady61 My friend Joe Shields, was the drummer in my Party Band. He grew up in Harlem, and that was one of his many memorable expressions.

@PounderJane1 Yes, he's become quite a simp. BTW, I wish the states would adopt terms like 'pillock,' & 'Wanker.' How can we make this happen?

@lucythegreat123 Yeah. In Philly we'd say, 'I skeeve that mofo.' [Skeeve is S.Philly Italian for 'I'll cross the street to avoid them.']

I know there are a lot of very valid reasons to dislike Hasan Piker, but the one that really sticks out to me is that he is just a huge douche.

If you have not read Shelby Foote's magisterial three-volume history of the Civil War, you are missing a great treat. Both literature and history, it's a work of tremendous insight, subtlety and empathy. Ranks with Gibbon and will be read long after we're dust.
Evans Wroten@Evans_Wroten

Civil War historian, Shelby Foote, discusses a few of the grievances in the south that led to the Civil War. Foote worked with Ken Burns on his documentary 'The Civil War'. Many facts that led to the conflict are never taught in school, but are well documented.

@WillieHandler My happy place. I'd say it's mecca for true Jewish deli lovers of all faiths these days. I've seen folks like Henry Winkler & the [now late] Ric Ocasec of The Cars there. Nobody made much of a fuss because it's NYC. I usually split a hot Pastrami on Rye w/mustard these days.

@Gormogons I often perform 'Homeward Bound,' at my shows, it's a wonderful song. I usually sing 'every day is an endless stream of the internet & magazines,' [slight update]! Everybody longs for home. BTW I think Graham Nash wrote 'Our House,' about his time with Joni Mitchell.

GP CSN's "Our House" makes me feel unbelievably nostalgic and sappy. Same for Simon and Garfunkel's "Homeward Bound."
