Last year, the Bengals started their draft with picks at DE and LB. Guess what they still need on defense??? The year before, they drafted DT, WR, NT, TE and CB in rounds 2-5. THEY STILL HAVE NEEDS AT ALL OF THOSE SPOTS.

Plus your team is definitely playing on Thursday ( Amazon) or NFl Network. Playoff games on peacock is crazy

@NFL_DovKleiman I mean this isn't true...and even the part that is only a handful of games. the CBS, Fox. NBC games are ALL regular TV available free - which represents the VAST majority of the games. I don't love what the NFL is doing but let's not make shit up.

@TheFireMaan Hall and Joseph were both better players with multiple good seasons. DJ had one good year and Hill played well for 4 games on the outside before the ACL in 2024 and at the end of last year when he moved back outside. He’s ok in the slot. Want both back but not if they want top $

I haven't chimed in on here about the Bengals-linebacker situation, but the LBs that signed yesterday didn't make sense for a team that currently has two starting linebackers.

According to preliminary data from OverTheCap, Kansas City leads all teams in percentage of guaranteed money in contracts signed in 2026 (52%). And this is before Chenal's deal hits the books.

I would have been a fan of the Gary move for the #Bengals. Would have been solid, high floor and low risk contract with upside potential in reuniting with Jerry Montgomery. Will see exactly what the pick ends up being but the Bengals have two 6s and two 7s, those should’ve been no factor in the decision. There are (better) FA edges available, obviously, but will be looking back on that one, regardless, at season’s end.

I see these meetings twofold. (1) Bengals have an idea that the top 10 may not fall their way in regard to the high-end defensive talent. Many scouts have Mauigoa and Fano as potential top 10 prospects. One or both may be available at pick 10 and should be considered as BPA. Mauigoa could easily be BPA at 10, in my opinion. If top defensive players are gone at 10, absolutely draft Mauigoa and let the dominos fall. (2) Bengals like to draft a potential player’s replacement a year before that player leaves in Free Agency. It hasn’t worked out in the cases of Whitworth and Bates. Might be considering allowing OBJ to walk in Free Agency. Not the correct mindset in my opinion. Hopefully they are just doing their due diligence and it’s not something to read into.

@mullen_sam @JamesRapien Bingo ! What other team could you be a HC for 16 years without winning a playoff game ? Or be a GM 24 years and only advance in the playoffs twice ? Have 1/3 the scouting department size. They don’t do things like other teams and James is expecting them to do the obvious.

@JamesRapien It only works if he’s traded early I’m saying they will want something ridiculous back which no teams will agree to. They were asking for a 1st last season. They always overvalue assets or drag things out long as possible.
