I wonder if Virginia’s voters who chose the Democrats & Spanberger had any idea what they were getting into. This is insane (pardon the pun). You’re going to allow schools to decide if 6-12 graders have mental health issues?! How convenient! Bad enough teachers have funneled little boys onto ADHD meds for decades. Now the schools will be demanding your teens submit to big pharma solutions for everyone’s safety. The default will be “opt-in.” Parents be alert to “opt-out” and counsel your children not to submit!

@CollinRugg This is lovely. I admire them and their fortitude. Sadly, I suspect the data centers will win out one way or another. They’ll get the local politicians to raise property taxes forcing a sale, or some other machination. I’ve seen it too many times. ☹️

The day the Affordable Care Act passed was one of my proudest moments as president, because it meant that millions of Americans would have access to health care, some for the first time.
The ACA also prevented insurance companies from denying people with pre-existing conditions coverage, allowed young people under the age of 26 to remain on their parents’ plan, expanded Medicaid, and so much more.
But the ACA was always meant to be a first step. We still have to do more to expand access and make health care more affordable for everyone.

For the kids who are too young to remember, you used to be able to get basically full, complete coverage above a max of $5,000 (aka “catastrophic coverage”) for 90 bucks a month before Obama made it “affordable.”

The ACA was signed into law 16 years ago today, bringing health care coverage to millions of Americans. But now, 22 million Americans are struggling to afford health insurance because Donald Trump and Senate Republicans refused to extend the ACA tax credits, which could drive families into crippling debt. Fake content floods our feeds. It’s increasingly becoming impossible to separate reality from Ai. Without clear labeling, truth drowns in fiction. We deserve to know what’s real - whether it’s from individuals, corporations / lobbyists, journalists, or Ai bots themselves - and especially when it’s from our government. A watermark in the corner of Ai generated content provides consumers with important context. I realize a lot of people make a lot of money from fake content and would be really upset having to disclose it as such. That doesn’t make it a bad idea.

There had to have been a meeting where the idea of Jake Tapper cosplaying as a podcaster was proposed. It must have come from a higher up. Most others nodded and smiled and enthusiastically praised the brilliant idea. Meanwhile two people surreptitiously rolled their eyes, shook their heads, and exchanged knowing glances. As so often happens in corporate America, they stayed silent and just sat back and enjoyed the show. 😂
