I finished Trumpeter's 1/144 HMS Astuste. It's a big beast, ~70cm long. Reference pics of this boat look fairly dirty so I tried to mess it up a bit rather than an even finish. I think it might need another flat coat though. It could even count as #JFFLetterB as it's a suB.

In preparation for this I unboxed it to take a look. The deck area is much bigger than I thought so it's going back in the stash until I get more display space. Instead, I'll do Tamiya's P-47 ThunderBolt RazorBack (w/ BomBs) for #JFFLetterB

#jffletterb does this count? It's by Border, it's of the bridge, and there's probably some bombs and bullets in there somewhere.

My first for #JFFCancerResearch is this racing version of Bandai's N1 starfighter. I made the team logo and found the designs for the sponsors online. I printed them myself onto white backed decal paper.

@TheotherBK Yeah, I was doing the usual order of paint then decals and didn't think about the real order they were applied. I should look for references to double check.

@MattMakesModels I based my original question (in another thread) on shots of aircraft in the many books I've got; naturally, I don't think I've got one of this particular one! Time to question the instructions perhaps?

Finished the Greif. I stuck with the decals although you can't see most of them due to the squiggles. A fun build, mostly went together easily.

@TheotherBK I would have thought so too, but the instructions seem to show it the other way around 🤷‍♂️

@MattMakesModels Looks good but as I've questioned on other models with field applied camouflage; wouldn't said camouflage have been applied around and/or over the markings which would obviously, already be in place?

This He-177 model build is perfect. Looks much better than the real ones, as it´s not so likely to crash without enemy action
