@Hilbe To continue. This was RJ’s Jobs/Musk moment. Unlike Jobs, RJ didn’t have a configurator ready. No buying enthusiasm, crowd of wealthy people not able order asap and better version coming but who knows when? Unlike Musk, RJ failed to create core shareholders and price goodwill.

@Hilbe RJ got ripped to shreds saying wealthy people don’t care about range and charging. Investors went nuts. Check the stock, even with a 10% uber bump this morning the stock can’t hold $17. Investors are pissed at the failed rollout. This is my circle, I can confirm.

477.9 miles of driving today & FSD handled it all flawlessly with Zero Interventions. No input whatsoever other than plugging in the GPS address & plugging it in to charge. Tesla FSD is so cool, I can even imagine what the soon to be released 14.3 will be like

@elonmusk Make me something like the xterra with 400 miles of actual range and fun to drive. Not the underwhelming shit boxes for poor people you currently produce. 😎

@Michael_L_Rauch @LucidMotors Yeah and maybe an air suspension setting high enough to make it over a standard street curb. Wife can’t even take the fast way out of Whole Foods with hearing it from the bottom of what @LucidMotors calls an suv.

Second time today having to back into Superchargers with no backup camera. Will likely clear with soft reboot, but this is getting old @LucidMotors as bumped into this one. Earlier today it slammed on brakes a foot short. 🤦‍♂️ Gravity is such a great driving luxury machine with incredible packaging & 95% of the time the software is excellent. The last 5% is aggravating at times. Last update fixed so much, but still lots to work on for the software team.

@Hilbe Agreed. And time to think about the frunk as either erev, extra battery, or removable generator. I don’t need the frunk, I need a better option.

This is a Gen 2 R1 Large battery pack. Notice it's got 2 empty spots in the pack and 7 modules installed. The Gen 2 R1 Max battery pack has all modules installed - 9 modules total for an additional ~30 kWh capacity. Now that the Standard (LFP) pack is on its way out, it might be worth considering getting rid of the Large pack as well. Honestly, at the price points remaining for R1 I think every R1 should be a Max pack.

@itskyleconner Let’s see the range. Consumer reports put out the top 10 highest range EVs and fuck 9 of 10 missed their stated epa by avg 50 miles. The only one not to: Audi. Germans are honest and if ix3 or i3 can do over 400 miles in any condition with 800v charge it’s a U.S. monster.

@OutofSpecDetail BuT DoeS iT DepREciate 50% in 18 mOnTHs?? 🤣🤣🤣. Besides EV industry range lies (except German) and not being designed to charge to 100%, Tesla Stan’s are the #1 thing holding Tesla and EV conversion back.

@LanceWade @niccruzpatane Honesty, what a concept from a Tesla owner. We thought people buy Teslas just as an excuse to stop charge and eat fast food.

As someone who has done multiple road trips in my Cyberbeast, I can say that this is an honest way to interpret real world charging and range. The big “however” is that I really wish charging times were better. Sometimes I do have to stop unnecessarily on a road trip because my last stop didn’t charge my truck enough. Or my road trips just take much longer because I have to stop and wait about 30-40 minutes and multiple times. Pee breaks take 10 minutes or so if you’re in and out. This forces you to take multiple long-winded breaks. Basically, you shouldn’t be in a rush to get to your destination if you’re on a road trip if you’re taking a Cyberbeast. I don’t have experience with other Teslas. Supercharger upgrades can’t come fast enough 😩

Unless you’re driving 500+ miles per day, you don’t need an EV with that much range. The average person drives around 37 miles per day. Current Tesla offerings provide way more than enough for the vast majority of people. On road trips, I can usually only drive about two hours before I need to get out, stretch my legs, etc. During that time, my car charges. It’s not the inconvenience people think it is. It doesn’t make sense to lug around a huge battery when most people don’t actually use that capacity.

When Tesla’s get to 500 miles per charge; I’ll think about one. BTW there’s an app that allows Waze to work. 🙄 #thinkIdontknow? 🥱😑

@niccruzpatane Hey asshole. Every EV, except the German ones, gets 50 miles less than epa claim. Go check consumer reports. That’s fuckin nuts. EVs are straight bullshit range and charging. Wealthy people don’t want to wait, and we don’t care about your poor ass. We paid for range we want.

@RivianTrackr Dude. Resale. If you’re leasing a LE ok, but that will be reflected in rate and residual. If you’re buying a LE and taking a loan you’re gonna be drowning quick. If you got the cash and don’t care think losing $25k in 12-18 months. That’s that big deal

@OutofSpecDetail Hahaha. Love it. Folks the fight for higher end EVs is to convert ice drivers which will never happen if charging remains so slow. Wealthy people like to road trip. Poor commuters don’t care. RJ should have know that. I’d go $10k more for a R2 performance with ix3 internals

@Out_of_Spec @LucidMotors It’s crazy that rivian and lucid 2 upstream companies are both making big compromises to hit $50ks instead of making an amazing product that a amg43 or macan s owner would love. We’d pay 70-80k for no compromises on charge, batt size, lux, ride.

@DavidMoss Why the fuck is the target $50k for upstream EV brands needing to pull ice drivers from SQ5, amg43, macan, x3m50, gv. All of those are between 70-85k. Lucid making a cheapo is suspect. Why can’t anyone make a real 186” EV for the upscale market? Plenty of margin available.

@TeslaXplored @Tesla Seriously? Rogue SL is leading for half on a 3yr term instead of a Tesla with a 6yr dinosaur term. Infiniti QX60 in the lux space leases for cheaper. Both have way cheaper insurance too. Sorry Stan. And I like the Y out it should be $399 including FSD.
