A member of the secondary sex watched me struggle to put a large heavy deck box into my trunk at Costco. He sat there for 10+ minutes watching me struggle in hopes that he could take my parking space. So naturally, after the struggle was over, I sat in my car typing out post until he got mad enough to find another space.
We need a new batch of men, this batch has low T and is defective.

@DeChristianLife We need more of these stories. Thanks for sharing.

@KurtSupeCPA I work with HNW families specifically to avoid or reduce federal estate tax. We always stress the importance of the annual gift tax exclusion. Great post! 👍

Couple comes in for their annual review.
$2.8 million. Well invested. Solid Pension. Completely on track.
I ask the question I ask everyone.
"How is your daughter doing?"
Mom's face changed first.
Their daughter is 39. Hasn't asked for anything. Never complained.
But she's been in the same apartment for six years.
Daycare alone is $1,800 a month. Down payment feels impossible.
Dad said "we always figured she'd get it eventually."
I pulled up a simple chart.
Statistically they live to 88. She inherits at 56. Maybe 60.
At 60 her own retirement is eight years away.
The money that could change everything at 39 arrives when her finish line is already close.
Neither of them had ever seen it framed that way.
The annual gift exclusion is $19,000 per parent per child.
They can move $38,000 a year to her. No gift tax. No estate implications.
Over ten years that's $380,000 transferred while they're healthy enough to watch it matter.
Dad looked at his wife.
"Why are we waiting?"
Most families leave everything at death because nobody showed them the math of giving it while they're alive.

@MMBeckerman @libriscent For some, getting married was the best decision in their lives. I’m fortunate to have an amazing wife, even with all her faults and perimenopause.

@libriscent Getting married is without question the single biggest and most costly mistake that you will ever make in your entire life. Be smart. Stay single.

@libriscent Sunk cost fallacy is a brutal thing. People would rather lose 10 years of their life than lose a deposit on a catering hall.

@ThrillaRilla369 Class of ‘95 here. We were the last class to have smoking in our HS courtyard.

Just boarded my flight. Checked my seat, double checked it. Yt woman sitting there. I played dumb. I asked the flight attendant, could you help me find my seat? She looked at the woman and said ma’am, what seat does your ticket say? She said “oh is this not C?” Now you know you didn’t pay for a window seat! 😒The flight attendant handled it because, I’m not arguing. 🤭

@PatrickByrne I already had to explain to my 12 yo son that the AA that keeps disrupting his class will NEVER be held accountable because he has a white liberal teacher. He gets it. Fast learner

Remember six years ago when we were hearing about “The Talk”? Black parents had to sit their teenagers down and give them “the talk” about systemic white violence against black folk.
What “talk” should white parents give?
Taya@travelingflying
Crimes in which Black people attack White people occur 42 times more often than crimes in which White people attack Black people.

@FinFreedom414 I am option B. I would change it for all the money in the world. 🙏

Imagine you had to choose your life at age 40:
Option A:
Single. No kids.
$10M net worth.
Travel anywhere. Total freedom.
Quiet house. Quiet holidays.
Option B:
Married. 3 kids.
$1M net worth.
Drive a Toyota. Chaos every morning.
Loud house. Full dinner table.
Be honest, which life are you choosing?
