The spectrum steadily shifts to the right over time. Sitting politicians who would cut minimum wage. DSA isn't radical.

In 2024 more low information swing voters saw Harris's record and statements on inflation, immigration, and trans issues as too far left than saw Trump's positions as too far right. One of the keys to Trump's success has been appearing to be more moderate than most Republicans on unpopular issues during elections.

They are buying up influence ahead of the midterms, and Dems who take AI $ will lose authority and trust as the public bears the cost.
