@PinnacleJoe I really admire your determination, but saying it’s rarely necessary is completely untrue. For many people, especially younger people, it’s the difference between them and homelessness. You’re out of touch and wrong.

@Sibble_side It’s rarely ever necessary to have your wife working. That’s just a fact. I don’t care what it takes, my wife isn’t working. Sure there are outliers with injuries and things like that but we’re talking about millions of marriages willingly ruined for an extra few thousand a month

Boyfriend admits to watching porn “like a week ago.” 🤮 then gets offended when she says that’s “gross.” Ladies, a guy using porn IS cheating and you should not tolerate it. Men should also have the same intolerance for women reading smutty books.

@FuzzyFace56 @LizzieMarbach That is true. I was specifically talking about the statement “expect sex without rejection most of the time.” Sex should happen in marriage based on a mutual desire to bond and have children. It’s never intended to be something the husband demands and the wife just accepts

@Sibble_side @LizzieMarbach You not wrong per se. But a wife is still also suppose to obey her husband. There is a balance and as the head of the household and a follower of christ he leads and thus makes that discernment with her input. You cannot give someone responsibility without power

@RobWalterz @sstimel18422 @LizzieMarbach Are you watching tv to get your rocks off? If so, yes it’s cheating. But tv has multiple draws and whatever intimate scene happens is usually a side plot or a quick deviation. The entire point of porn is to get off. What a dumb comparison

@FuzzyFace56 @LizzieMarbach Yeah that’s not the Christian “moral framework.” Marital rape is still rape in Christianity and husbands are in fact called to be loving and understanding to their wives, not to lord themselves over her. Love her “as Christ loved the church.”

@LizzieMarbach Funny we wanna be so strict and traditional when its in our favor... Curious how she feels about "obey her husband" Using this christian moral framework he can expect sex without rejection most of the time. Curious what his porn use would look like if she also followed her part

@LizzieMarbach Let’s just pretend that’s true, millions of men have cheated, millions of marriages now should be destroyed, & kids displaced cause after all no one should stay married to a cheater right? All cause the husband saw some boobs. Absurd.

@PinnacleJoe @LizzieMarbach You realize that most women work because their husbands can’t support them? One has a completely logical financial benefit, or might even be necessary. The other is soul and brain poison that WILL affect behavior. Goofy ahh

I am completely against porn consumption and production, of course. But if I had to say what was more damaging to marriages between the man watching porn and the woman working outside the home, I’d say the latter is more damaging by far. The porn consumption is terrible for the man’s soul but realistically he could go his entire marriage without his wife even knowing. His behavior could never change, he could live totally normal. The wife working outside the home is directly damaging to the marriage and family. It is a big driving force (feminism) in breaking marriages.

@CarolinaWDR @joeylentin @WhiteBabyFac Also, while again I agree that God has an order that should be followed, it’s not as rigid as something like Islamic law. God knows the turbulence of life. If something happened to you, it would be important that your wife can navigate the financial side of things

"I do deny the idea that man is supposed to lord over his wife, because that idea is not Biblical." Although you say so, does not make it true. Ephesians 5:22 (NKJV) Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. Colossians 3:18 (NKJV) Wives, submit to your own husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. I Peter 3:6 (NKJV) as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord, whose daughters you are if you do good and are not afraid with any terror. Ephesians 5:23 (NKJV) For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body. A lord is a person with authority, control, or power, such as a ruler, master, or feudal superior. Originating from the Old English hlafweard ("loaf-warden" or bread guardian), the term signifies a master of a household or manor. Religiously, it refers to a deity (e.g., YHWH) or Jesus Christ, indicating divine sovereignty.

Christians: Is it "financial abuse" for a man to give his wife a monthly allowance instead of letting her have full access to all of his money?

@CarolinaWDR @joeylentin @WhiteBabyFac Side note, the way you type cracks me up. Anyhow, every verse you pulled does not disagree with the passage I showed or the idea I’m presenting, that wives are not to be bossed around like children or treated as less valuable. Why marry someone you can’t trust with money?

@CarolinaWDR @joeylentin @WhiteBabyFac I very much want society to follow God’s created order. I want women to be able to return to the home. I also don’t live in a fantasy land where women are children and subject to complete financial ignorance, because that is unbiblical

You describe egalitarianism. How does the following scripture reinforce that belief? 1 Corinthians 11:9 Nor was man created for the woman, but woman for the man. Or the following: 1 Corinthians 11:3 But I want you to know that the head of every man is Christ, the head of woman [is] man, and the head of Christ [is] God. I could, of course, go on, and in turn, you could quote Romans, or somewhere else, that would justify your denial of God’s created order.

@CarolinaWDR @joeylentin @WhiteBabyFac What does that have to do with your life partner and equal under God, whom you love like Christ loves the church and whom has been described as a business owner and wise with money in proverbs, not knowing how to navigate the finances of her husband?

@joeylentin @WhiteBabyFac Freedom is just another word for ‘independence’ of which no marriage is based on. Genesis 2:24 Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.

@FenderBenderBlu @cloisblog But isn’t the point of how he acts as Clark Kent to be inconspicuous? Very unassuming, not trying to draw attention to himself? I feel like that skews your argument. Unassuming people get overlooked by nature

@cloisblog That's exactly what your post is about. "None of you are Clark Kent", but the point of Superman's Clark Kent identity is that he's *every* man. It's Superman's polar opposite disguise so nobody suspects him. *Any* man could be Superman and that's why nobody knows who he truly is
