It’s bad in this country. That’s not a partisan or political statement, it’s the reality. People can’t afford what they could ten years ago, even if they’re making more. We have the highest food inflation, the highest housing costs and the most household debt among G7 countries. Crime has become common in our streets. Woke DEI policies have corrupted meritocratic systems, and our long-held traditions and fundamental values are being eroded. I hear from Canadians all the time who wish they could leave this country because of how much it’s deteriorated, but they can’t afford to. How sad. The feelings of devastation and hopelessness are so common among my generation, I would call it a crisis. This is the result of domestic policy. This is the result of 11 years of Liberal government. This is the result of Liberal recklessness, centralized control, ideological imposition, and a general lack of trust in the Canadian people to live and run their lives how they see fit. I know there are some (I see you in my comments) who have no idea of this reality that so many are facing. It’s as though you are in a different world. And that’s where the government would like you to stay, oblivious, unbothered, not concerned. But please, have some empathy and understanding. Canada should not be like this. The potential of country is insane. We can do so much and be so much. Prosperous. Strong. Free. Self-reliant. More government, more Liberal government, is not the solution to this devastating state of affairs, it is the cause. We need better. We can do better.
