@mog_russEN He was helping her. He did it so that she would not be disqualified for having a phone. Magnus made sure to do this before the game started.

🚨⚡️ A bizarre incident at the German Championship:
Norwegian chess champion Magnus Carlsen, with a wide smile, agreed to take a "selfie" with Kazakhstani player Alua Norman's phone before the second round.
But the surprise? As soon as the photo was done, Carlsen rushed to file a complaint with the arbiter!
The arbiter confiscated the player's phone in accordance with the regulations.. 🤡🇳🇴

@NathanBozeman2 @rootcausesleuth But to answer your question “what came from the Father?” I don’t think we can say it was a scolding or “instruction” in this case. It really was punishment for sin: “he was pierced because of our rebellion,
crushed because of our iniquities.”
4/4.
English

@NathanBozeman2 @rootcausesleuth Jesus didn’t have Sheol/Hades in mind when he talked about plundering Satan’s house. He was merely demonstrating that he has the means to overpower Satan and plunder his home, something only God has the power to do.

@pimomormon Well, a man has to have some concept of a straight line before he calls another line crooked. So where’s your straight line?
English

@NathanBozeman2 @rootcausesleuth Surely we all agree Jesus did not receive a mere scolding by going to the cross?
English

@NathanBozeman2 @rootcausesleuth I don’t think this is entirely correct. The word is derived from the word “yâsar” which means to chastise literally “with blows” or “words.”
“Chastise” means to inflict punishment on, even physical punishment.
English

@NathanBozeman2 @rootcausesleuth “Punishment for our peace” was on him though.
English

@rootcausesleuth Yes, but I think it would be false to assume that this means Jesus had wrath poured on Him or was punished on the cross.

@DavidLimbaugh Big John Lennox fan here too. Seven Days that Divid the World is an excellent book.

@BHarkins96928 @ProvisionistP I’m asking a question. Yes or no?
English

@_ChristIsLord @ProvisionistP So now our relationship to God is that of employee to employer? But I think Jesus's death was substitutionary just not penal. It works in the same way as temple sacrifices of atonement which are not penal.
English

So, the Father doesn’t punish the Son, the Son just kind of…steps into the path of the divine wrath and gets hit by it on our behalf…?
Jared@RevJaredJones
I'm trying to maintain my Christian charity. But this is dumb. The Father does not punish the Son. The Son as mediator willingly bears the divine wrath in our place.
English

@BHarkins96928 @ProvisionistP Do you suppose punishing people for vicarious liability is unjust?
English

@ProvisionistP Proverbs 17:15 To absolve the guilty and condemn the upright, both alike are abhorrent to Yahweh.
PSA defuted in one verse. God doesn't punish the innocent or acquit the guilty. That would be unjust. God is not unjust. PSA is a false doctrine

@SpeedWatkins @KennethHam26159 It’s impossible God exists?
English

@KennethHam26159 Ok, then he exists in no possible world.
English

You absolutely have not.
Your premise that the existence of God varies across possible worlds is incorrect.
To even assume that God does exist in any possible world makes it necessary for Him to exist in all worlds.
You can say He exists in all worlds or you can say He exists in no worlds. But you can't say He exists in some worlds.
That's logically incoherent.

@limitandmind The existence of innocent people and objective moral value is not in dispute in this discussion; in fact, they are taken as shared common premise. What is in dispute is whether objective moral values are dependent on God's existence. I've shown they are not.
