@JakeMerrick4Gov has addressed it. He did not request the GoFundMe, a supporter set it up. I’m sure he did or will accept the funds. There’s nothing illegal or immoral about accepting a gift. Why aren’t these same people questioning the millions of dollars spent in the other campaigns? They continue to attack the true grassroots conservative-and drive away any potential support for Mazzei. I think it’s a mental illness.

That and Oklahoma has been in play for years… since 2011 when we flipped Democrat state to Republican.
The legislature is in place… under the control of the rules designed by leadership to ensure conservative legislators have very little representation so they will compromise (learn to play the game)… ask any of the them.
So if you want to sell Oklahoma to the back bone you have to put Trumps name, regardless. It is the sugar to swallow the sour being served. That might be enough for those who will vote.

Who actually voted for Gentner Drummond in the GOP governor primary?
The narrow ~26% winner, finishing just over 1,000 votes ahead of Mazzei, isn’t the “Democrat plant” some are pushing. Oklahoma’s closed primary system doesn’t allow registered Democrats to simply cross over and vote Republican. While thousands changed party registration before the deadline, that represents only a small slice of the electorate, with many being Independents choosing a side.
The county results paint a different picture:
• Strong in the Oklahoma City metro, including Oklahoma County, and performed well in suburban areas such as Cleveland County.
• Weaker in the Tulsa metro, where Mazzei held an advantage.
• Benefited from name recognition as Attorney General, support from voters tired of the Stitt-era political drama, and likely picked up second-choice support from voters whose preferred candidates fell short and were looking for what they viewed as steady leadership over shifting political winds.
This wasn’t a secret blue wave. It was largely central Oklahoma Republicans prioritizing an enforcement record on issues like illegal marijuana operations and opioids, while valuing independence over pure Trump/MAGA signaling in this particular race. Trump’s “Fake Republican” criticism energized some opposition, yet Drummond still managed to come out on top.
The skeptical take? The “Democrats love him” narrative feels more like intra-GOP knife-fighting than serious analysis. It’s an easy way to label moderates as traitors while ignoring donor relationships, establishment influence, and political games being played on both sides of the aisle. Metro-area Republicans, in particular, appeared willing to reward experience over endorsements.
The August 25 runoff will answer the bigger question: Can Drummond consolidate the rest of the field, or can Mazzei unite Tulsa-area conservatives and the Trump base?
Research the records yourself. Don’t swallow the spin.

Jake will do the right thing, he will not cave to pressure. He is not concerned about the political aspect… He is concerned about principle. That’s what so many people simply cannot seem to comprehend. If Mazzei wants the votes of @JakeMerrick4Gov’s supporters, he had better figure out a way to earn their trust and earn their vote because thus far he has not done that. Many of Jake’s supporters are not going to just hand their vote over… Mazzei is not entitled to anything… He needs to earn it.

1. Jake supporters need to get behind James Taylor.
2. Many Jake supporters will now get behind Mazzei-but there are many who are very skeptical.
3. Mazzei needs to earn the vote of the Merrick supporters. The question is, HOW can he do that? 🤔

The primary is over, and unfortunately for many of us, Jake Merrick did not make the runoff. Now the next question is one that many Oklahoma conservatives are asking: Who will @JakeMerrick4Gov endorse? Traditionally, candidates who do not advance to the runoff often throw their support behind one of the remaining candidates. Their endorsement can help shape the direction of the race and signal to supporters where they believe the movement should go next. I’ve reached out to Jake directly, and I know others have as well. Some have specifically asked whether he plans to endorse Mike Mazzei. So far, there has been no public response. That leaves a lot of supporters wondering what comes next. Will Jake endorse one of the runoff candidates? Will he back Mazzei, someone else, or no one at all? Or will he simply step back and allow his supporters to make their own decisions? I believe his supporters deserve an answer. Jake built a loyal grassroots following based on principles, transparency, and conviction. Whether he chooses to endorse a candidate or remain neutral, a public statement would provide clarity to the thousands of Oklahomans who invested their time, energy, and votes in his campaign. Today in Oklahoma I held my nose and voted a straight Republican ticket. I voted the ones I thought weren't bought, and most will lose. Trump endorsed Mazzie, I won't begrudge him that. It was a smart endorsement as he knows Drummond is a RINO, but I voted Merrick.
I am 65 years old and never missed an election in my life. We are priveleged to be able to elect our representatives at all levels. I used to believe my vote was worth something.
They have dumbed down this country to the point people will consistently vote for the name they recognize. Worse, they don't vote at all in the belief that we are a red state, and any Republican will do. That's how we get the Lankfords, Mullins, Coles. Yes, they are Rebublicans. But what kind? Milquetoast, ballless, bought and paid for. It's like sending the French army to defend us. Every election I participate in, I leave depressed, knowing a RINO bastard will likely win. It's better than voting Democrat and risking my everlastin soul, but barely.
We need to fix this shit.

It certainly is legal and the rot that has grown from this is putrid….but ignore the smell it is just our imagination.
Not everything or everyone is for sale… but in this day and age it’s becoming very very very limited because we’ve incentivized everything from Healthcare to Education to Politics we have Normalized the buying and selling of our Elected Officials which keeps We The People enslaved.
I don’t have more freedom because I am a R, D, I, L it makes no difference… we have to fight tooth and nail our own Super majority Republican legislators just to get REPRESENTATION! It is utter ridiculousness!
We talk of the Uniparty it is on full display right now…you don’t need anything but money to get elected. We have men who have made money as the way to obtain power and that makes them Pliable and Comprisable and a registered democrat to choose your horse wisely.

This is Obscene and Disgusting that our elections are just which candidate can just ‘Loan’ themselves as much as they can borrow to avoid having to raise funds so that later if they win they can funnel money through donations back to their campaign and no one is the wiser of what promises are being made.
Oh but SCOTUS allows and everyone does it is a justification to legally have patronage politics, not elections.

We have incentivized everything! If just borrow as much money as you can possibly get your hands on instead of raising funds… Then, if you win, your pockets will be lined from whomever for whatever and it doesn’t matter what the constituents want… This is just good politicin’.
Elected Officials are a consumerize product and as long as the party affiliation is correct then it is good.

I think you are indicating for X users… have you heard this from candidates… it is interesting because we know other countries have influence on our own government and elections.
There are always phrases that are used as a euphemism… Some codeword. Just looking at some of the phrases that were used they would all seemed to raise a red flag.

This one is sad and heartbreaking, however, it is why we must vigilantly vet candidates… even if it is uncomfortable. We have to know who and what we maybe putting in Congress.

If a man will betray his wife while preaching fidelity from the pulpit, why keep him in that pulpit? If a pastor will betray his flock, why trust him with their souls? If a politician will betray voters during a campaign, why trust him with their vote? Character matters. A man compromised at home is far easier to compromise in Washington.
