ULIP sales have gone up quite a bit over the last year. I'm guessing most ULIPs are sold by banks because of the high commissions on these products. While ULIPs promise the best of both worlds, that is, both investments and insurance, the reality is that they offer the worst of both worlds. They have high commissions, and most importantly, the insurance cover you get is not enough. You are better off separating insurance and investments by investing in direct mutual funds and buying a term insurance policy. This is much cheaper as well. If someone ever pitches you an ULIP, this Zero1 video explains why it is a bad idea. By the way, many people don't even realize they have a ULIP or some other terrible insurance product. @ml_madhusudhan @Nithin0dha I have added a new column to each sheet which shows the money one will get in case of death. Clearly ULIPs don't do good there.

@Nithin0dha I think ulips have improved a lot as a product now - I pay zero charges except for mortality charges. - mortality charges are very low initial years due to low age - no tax on rebalancing between equity debt - no capital gains tax ( <2.5 l premium)

Hi @abidsensibull not able to upgrade using credit card. Getting error 'invalid card number' soon after enter card number. Card is correct, tried visa/master. Support says I should talk to @RazorpayCare and sort out the issue. Shouldn't @BeSensibull sort the issue? (5yearsale)

Just curious what's the definition of high technical and customer experience standards. In my opinion, they may be doing 99 things right but that doesn't mean customers should live with 1 bad experience. @Nithin0dha (2/2)

This is not a Zerodha bashing post. 1 out of 5 times @zerodha console p&l gives 'Error fetching summary: Request timed out'. I don't believe tech team is not aware of it and its just beyond me how can such issues not embarrass the company. This is not a new issue either 1/2
