“Machines are instructed to look at what I want to explore, and that is a crucial part of my artistic gesture.” – @quayola Born in Rome and based in London for nearly two decades, Quayola has developed a body of work that moves between the real and the artificial, the figurative and the abstract, the old and the new. Ahead of his exhibition at Art Basel Hong Kong curated by @bitforms gallery, in partnership with @artontezos and @objktone, Quayola speaks with @RaquelGaudard for OBJKTOR. Sharing this new @Artforum review of Analivia Cordeiro's solo show at @bitforms earlier this year. Analivia Cordeiro is considered a pioneer in computer-based video dance, developing since 1973 a continuous and intense transdisciplinary work exploring the relationships between body, movement, visual and audiovisual art as well as media art. In 2023, @objktone has presented MUTATIO in Basel, one of her more recent interactive generative installations, firstly showed during ZKM's large survey exhibition of this pioneer's work. The outcome of the interaction between the visitors' bodies and MUTATIO is 3 collections of images (check link on thread).
