It's true! I’m excited to share that I’ve joined the investment team at @PanteraCapital. It’s a privilege to join a group of investors that I’ve long admired and to partner with founders building the next generation of foundational crypto companies. Why Pantera Pantera has been backing founders for more than a decade as the first dedicated crypto venture fund. The team’s track record speaks for itself. Pantera has backed over 20 unicorns and led investments in category-defining companies across multiple cycles like @coinbase, @circle, @Bitstamp and more. What resonates with me is not just that history, but also Pantera’s reputation for operating as a high-integrity firm that does right by their founders. Looking ahead, crypto is evolving from an experimental space into a more mature industry. We’re seeing an increase in companies building product-forward businesses, generating meaningful revenue, and ultimately pursuing IPOs. Pantera has consistently recognized inflection points like this and been at the forefront of shaping our industry; they’ve been involved in every major crypto IPO over the past several years. I’m excited to join @dan_pantera, @veradittakit, @FranklinBi, and the rest of the team to continue that tradition. My Background Prior to Pantera, I spent three years as a Principal at @symbolicvc, where I helped @0xkenzi and @sandeepnailwal launch their first fund. I also helped create and lead Symbolic’s accelerator, @0xbeaconcom, which incubated and supported a new generation of world-class crypto founders. I'm forever grateful to Kenzi and Sandeep for taking a bet on a young kid with no crypto or venture experience and helping me break into this industry. Areas of Focus While I plan to invest broadly across web3 at Pantera, my initial focus will be on the convergence of AI and crypto. I think this is one of the most important areas of investment in our industry. It’s no secret that AI is going to affect nearly every area of our world. I believe that the backbone of AI progress will be led not just by open-source models, but models trained and served in a distributed fashion, harnessing the innovation and power that can only come from collective contribution and ownership.
