The CAF Appeal Board decided that in application of Article 84 of the Regulations of the CAF Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), the Senegal National Team is declared to have forfeited the Final Match of the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Morocco 2025 (“the Match”), with the result of the Match being recorded as 3–0 in favour of the Fédération Royale Marocaine de Football (FRMF). cafonline.com/news/caf-appea…

@egi_nupe It was even the coach that tapped Mane on the shoulder to go call the team while he went to talk with the ref. The coach called back the game not just Mane remember even Mane asked the other players to leave the field

Senegalese Head Coach should face disciplinary action for his misconduct, despite winning the competition. Even if the referee’s decision was not favourable to your team, it’s part of the game. But ordering your players to leave the pitch while the game time was still on was completely unprofessional and unacceptable. Had Sane not salvaged the situation, what would have happened? Forfeit the match and let the host team have the trophy? What would have become of the one goal lead his team had? Africa should set a clear precedent that bad behaviours are not our way of life.

Moroccan journalists booed Senegal coach & his daughter out of the press conference after the game & it has to be cancelled cos CAF media officer wasn't sure of his safety. They denied a AFCON-winning coach from speaking to the journalists. This is not a good advertisement for Africa football.

@gimbakakanda @gimbakakanda If there is a chronicle of heroes at #AFCON2025, Brahim Díaz definitely deserves a place. It mattered that he missed that penalty. He provided the fresh reset for a "fair" win.

Sadio Mané is the hero of this AFCON final. Not just for what he did with the ball, but for the maturity he showed in what felt like an open festival of bias against clubs facing the host country. Had Senegal insisted on boycotting the match, a ban would almost certainly have followed. It might have been a costly stand, but also a powerful sacrifice for the sanity of future AFCON tournaments, one that would have cast a long shadow over Morocco’s claim to first place, even a hundred years from now. Still, returning to the pitch was the wiser choice. They stayed, they endured, and they fought like the lions they call themselves. Congratulations, Senegal! 🇸🇳

There was an attack targeting Jews in Sydney yesterday and in the midst of the chaos, a brave man risked his own life to stop the attacker. He courageously disarmed the terrorist, prevented further harm and saved many innocent lives. The man has been identified as a Muslim named Ahmed Al Ahmad. May God bless him for his bravery and selflessness.

This is a deeply one-sided and biased investigation Report by @RepRileyMoore By exclusively visiting Christian IDP communities and amplifying only their testimonies harrowing as they undoubtedly are the reporter creates the impression of a unilateral “genocide” carried out by “Fulani” against Christians, while completely ignoring: 1. The thousands of Muslim (largely Fulani) communities that have also been attacked, burned, and displaced in the same Middle Belt region by armed Christian militia and local farming groups in retaliatory or pre-emptive cycles of violence. 2. The Muslim IDPs in states like Plateau, southern Kaduna, and even Benue itself, whose stories of entire villages wiped out are equally horrific but never mentioned here. 3. The underlying driver of the conflict: decades-long disputes over land, grazing routes, and resources that have been communal and inter-ethnic, not a simple religious “Christians vs. Fulani” narrative. Presenting only one community’s suffering, using emotionally charged terms like “genocidal Fulani,” and failing to even acknowledge that Fulani pastoralists have themselves been massacred in large numbers (including women and children) This is selective outrage that fuels further division. A honest Investigator would visit both sides’ displaced persons, acknowledge the mutual atrocities, and refrain from pre-judging the entire conflict as one ethnic/religious group unilaterally victimising another. This isn’t balance for its own sake; it’s basic accuracy in a conflict where both Christians and Muslims have blood on their hands and grief in their hearts. @ishakaa, @Realoilsheikh, @Minikothe3rd, @Waspapping_ @IU_Wakilii @MFaarees_ @ComradeAI @BashirAhmaad @bellosaleh @ana_herleemerh @bulamabukarti @ZagazOlaMakama @abati1990 @ruffydfire @DrCroc28 @ayomairoese @OjyOkpe @The_Vimbai @femmefemi @stevoree @Adesuwa_G @Ccikokwu @kachioffiah @simonreefNG @akunnachux @Talk2Adaora @MajeedDahiru @ARISEtv @NewsCentralTV @tvcnewsng @channelstv @seunokin @chamberlainusoh @KayodeOkikiolu @MaupeO @ZariyiYusufu @THISDAYLIVE @TheNationNews @samomatseye @BabajideOtitoju @KukahCentre
Rep. Riley M. Moore@RepRileyMoore

While in Benue, I met with dozens of Christians who were driven from their homes and subjected to horrific violence and now live in IDP camps. They told harrowing stories that will remain with me for the rest of my life. One woman was forced to watch as they killed her husband and five children. She, and her unborn child, barely escaped. Another woman’s family was murdered in front of her and her baby was ripped from her womb. One man’s family was hacked to death in front of his eyes and his armed was permanently mangled. There are more than 600,000 Christians in IDP camps in Benue State alone. These Christians should be able to live in their ancestral homeland without fear of genocidal Fulani.
