In 2012 I was asked by CNBC to talk about an index we built tracking the emerging commercial space industry. Our top tier included "strong buy" calls on SpaceX and Blue Origin. Others near the top included Rocket Lab, Planet Labs, Dynetics and Skybox Imaging.

Records are meant to be broken! 🔥 Today SpaceX will do exactly that—for the third time in a row this year. Most @Starlink satellites launched and deployed in the months of January, February, and March! 🫡 Context: In the first three months of 2025, SpaceX launched and deployed 551 Starlink satellites. With today’s 29th Starlink mission of 2026, SpaceX will have deployed 786 Starlink satellites so far this year— already 235 more than by the end of March 2025. @elonmusk

Exactly. The shuttle was “reusable” but required so much refurbishment that it cost more than expandable rockets. F9’s reusability enabled much lower prices and higher cadences. That’s why F9 flew more in 2025 alone than the Space Shuttle flew in its entire 30y service history.

@ApoStructura Making reusability useful is what matters

The future of telescopes is in space. There will be no limit to the size of telescopes built in orbit. Starship will enable contact with extraterrestrial civilizations.

@Andercot But the good news is that SpaceX will put big telescopes in space and giant ones on the Moon
