@_haye_ @BrettErickson28 Don't mind that fool. He is just leing. They sanction Sani Abacha,& claim he has money in countries that sanction him in the first place. Abacha doesn't visit any of the state in the country except his home state but keep money in the west where he can never be allow to visit

Sanctions evasion and money laundering (as well as fraud) are often inextricably linked. Throughout the US Iran War, sanctions have been discussed ad nauseum, but money laundering less so. When we look at illicit finance, we need to understand that nation-states, transnational criminal organizations, and bad actors don't simply want to "make money for the sake of it", they want to be able to SPEND it. To enjoy the ill-gotten gains. But if you're the new Supreme Leader of Iran, Mojtaba Khamenei... that's great that you have an abundance of wealth INSIDE Iran, but if you're sanctioned, as he is by the United States and United Kingdom... it's far more challenging to actually ENJOY the plundering of the Iranian people. So... how is it that Mojtaba owns more than $138M of UK real estate ALONE?! Now we need to dive into the weeds as to how money laundering of illicit finances takes place in the modern world. At the upper echelon of money laundering, we are not talking about your Walter White's. Your local drug dealer. No, we're talking about your Vladimir Putin's, your Khamenei's, CJNG... big players... with big budgets. These people, or these entities, rely heavily on what are commonly called "gatekeepers". Gatekeepers are your lawyers, accountants, trust and estate experts, real estate agents. People with significant expertise that, if used nefariously, could be leveraged to aid in ones ability to launder funds in a way that is undetectable... or at least much harder to detect. This is such a serious issue that in just a few days, Australia's "Tranche 2" will go live, requiring 90,000 new companies to register with their financial intelligence agency, AUSTRAC, in order to ensure compliance with anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing for "Designated Non-Financial Businesses and Professions" (DNFBP). So... okay, people will work with lawyers, accountants, trust and estate professionals, and the like in order to help launder these proceeds... how? There are a plethora of ways that individuals and entities will do this, but the important aspect to understand is OBFUSCATION. With enough effort, almost all money laundering and sanctions-evasion schemes "can" be uncovered, but when we're dealing with these heavy hitters, they are often so complex that it is challenging to put the necessary resources into doing so. One of the common methods utilized by bad actors is leveraging what is referred to as "secrecy jurisdictions". Secrecy jurisdictions are jurisdictions, or countries, that have favorable laws and regulations that make it far more challenging to identify who owns what, and how. Switzerland and Panama are notorious historical examples, but in the modern day, we often see the jurisdictions of the UAE, Hong Kong, British Virgin Islands, Guernsey, Seychelles, Singapore, and the Caymans. The next term we need to understand is "Ultimate Beneficial Owner". Think of it this way... if I'm sanctioned, and I have YOU buy a property that I LIVE in, and can direct you to sell at any time... I AM the "real" owner of this property. However, financial intelligence units of countries around the globe are well aware of this concept. That is why bad actors will utilize secrecy jurisdictions to set up TRUSTS with a nominee shareholder, someone that operates the trust on PAPER, and then purchase property in the name of the trust to further obfuscate the Ultimate Beneficial Owner. These illicit actors will also use "shell companies" and "front companies" to launder proceeds through to make them appear as though they are "legitimately earned". This was the exact case as to how Mojtaba was able to purchase some of his real estate portfolio. According to Bloomberg reporting, "much of the money in the network has flowed through non-Iranian firms like Ziba Leisure Ltd., registered in Saint Kitts and Nevis, the Isle of Man-based Birch Ventures Ltd. and A&A Leisure Ltd. as well as Emirati entities such as Midas Oil Industries FZC and Midas Oil Trading DMCC." Again... DEGREES. OF. SEPERATION. I promise you that the listed owner on any of these companies is not "Mojtaba Khamenei". Actually... according to the Bloomberg reporting, we can see what nominee shareholders and obfuscated UBO looked like: "In one example, a UAE-based intermediary firm was used for transfers via Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank PJSC to Ziba Leisure, according to SWIFT messages seen by Bloomberg. Documents show that Ziba Leisure was incorporated in 2014 with Ansari and Moris Mashali, an Iranian-born British national, as two of the directors." One of the other primary issues bad actors face with laundering their funds... actually MOVING the money. We can see how Mojtaba was able to do this in the Bloomberg reporting. Did he open an account under "Mojtaba Khamenei"? Of course not. "In 2016, Ansari obtained a Cypriot passport, allowing him to open new bank accounts and companies in Europe. It also helped mask his Iranian political ties, according to people familiar with the matter." This allows for these front and shell companies to move in their "cleaned" revenues into the banking sector, so that they can then be utilized for the purchases of otherwise sanctioned purchased. Real estate. Art. Cars. Yachts... you name it. When we look at sanctions, a very hot topic for the US/Iran War, we need to also understanding how the regime's wealthy and elite establish the connections, the structures, and the banking relationships that allow for them to be able to live lives of luxury that otherwise would be impossible from sanctions.

It's almost impossible to get it 100% right. But even if you want to implement such a rule, it makes no sense to introduce it during a major tournament. Players need time to adapt. You're just going to end up punishing everyone. Start enforcing it next season instead, in domestic football to allow the players to adapt. Players have been covering their mouths for years to talk to teammates in loud stadiums and it doesn't mean they're saying something bad. Wrong timing.

What a ridiculous rule. A player can cover his mouth out of habit or instinct without saying anything offensive and in a loud, packed stadium, that's completely normal. A yellow card would make sense, but handing out a straight red without any proof that something inappropriate was said could ruin an entire country's tournament, especially when there's a good chance the player didn't say anything wrong at all.

What is happening right now in the Portuguese national team shows how valuing people solely because of their fame and star status can destroy an entire system. The presence of a finished Cristiano Ronaldo in what is arguably the most talented national team in the world after France could end up wasting this generation just to satisfy his ego, narcissism, and obsession with breaking meaningless records. The attacks on Bruno Fernandes, João Neves, and even Vitinha by Ronaldo’s fanbase are among the strangest things you can witness. It only highlights the ignorance of some fans who worship individual players at the expense of football itself, its beauty, and its enjoyment. Cristiano is finished, and his fans need to accept that. Portugal’s stars are better without him, and we have all seen what Vitinha, João Neves, and Nuno Mendes achieved with PSG over the last two seasons. The worst fanbase in the world is Cristiano Ronaldo’s fanbase.

JD Vance is not changing the conversation about Israel in the US. He is changing the entire paradigm: He is reminding the Israelis that they are alone and - though he doesn't use this word - much disliked internationally. Israel should not undermine the only strong friend they have left. "If I was in the cabinet of the Israeli government, I might not be attacking the only powerful ally that I have left." And, he is reminding them of their utter dependence on the United States. Because 2/3 of the weapons that have protected Israel (!!) "have been built by American hands and paid for by American tax dollars." As a point of comparison, no one in the Biden admin ever spoke like this about Israel when Netanyahu was blowing through Biden's so-called red lines on Gaza...

Dear Lionel Messi, I apologise for ever debating whether you were the greatest of all time. To my mind, your competition was never Cristiano Ronaldo. I was thinking more about Diego Maradona and Pele. I now realise that you are better than both of them. You are better than anyone who has ever kicked a football. I am lucky to have been alive to watch you play. You are the greatest of all time! I bow and tremble. 🙌🏽🙇‍♂️ I am Ezemmuo. I know things.

2027 POLLS: South East Remains Calm, Will Restrategize On ADC Events of the last 48 hours have once again re-enacted the eternal words of the distinguished and erudite literary icon, Professor Chinua Achebe. In his 1983 masterpiece book, entitled: "The Trouble with Nigeria," Achebe famously argued that "Nigerians will probably achieve consensus on no other matter than their common resentment of the Igbo." Achebe identified this widespread ethnic hostility as a primary obstacle to national unity, tracing the resentment to the Igbo culture’s emphasis on individualism and competitiveness, which gave them an advantage in colonial society. Professor Achebe contended that this shared animosity was one of the few things unifying the diverse Nigerian population rather than serving as a foundation for genuine national cohesion. Howbeit, our Igbo leaders of thought have asked us to remain calm and do some deep reflections. We are giving His Excellency Atiku Abubakar- @atiku at least one week to speak up on this betrayal of the Great People of the South East Geo-Political Zone. We were told that a 12-man Committee comprising of two members from each of the six geo-political zones was created to advise the party on the best man to field as ADC Vice Presidential candidate. The committee rarely sat nor decided on Rt. Hon. Rotimi Amaechi. The Chairman was even in Geneva, Switzerland, when @BolajiADC released his press statement announcing the VP nominee. If you follow the political trajectory of the Igbo nation, even dating back the 1979, 1983, 1999, 2003, 2007, 2011, 2015, 2019, and the 2023 presidential elections, our people tend to support national political parties where they are accorded a sense of belonging and also accorded some stakes within its public policies and government formation. Against this backdrop, in the coming days, weeks, we will not be silenced. We shall be taking a stand and letting our people know where our political pendulum and support must swing to going into the 2027 presidential election billed for January 16, 2027.
