@ManishEarth If you need the tips to survive don't keep telling everyone how rich and successful you all are.
English

it feels like the is-ought distinction is a very common failure mode of how certain types of Europeans visiting the US interact with it

Let’s be clear about one thing, not a single one of us thinks MetLife Stadium is a good or normal stadium for any reason. We’re just explaining that you can’t walk there.
English

@Honkadoi Kris talking to every object in their house the night of chapter 1: "look I need you guys to gaslight Ralsei into thinking you've never met him"
English

@Silent__92 @libbysalt Stax in general is self-regulating (it becomes more powerful the more powerful decks it is facing) so most pieces are fine, but for super punishing stax like non-basic landhate and rhystic effects then yeah making a new rule to make them bracket 4+ would be fine
English

@jackfrui7 @libbysalt I thought stax pieces aren't even considered when it comes to the bracket system unless it affects lands. If we ban rhystic why stop there? Why not ban Thalia, grand arbiter, smothering tithe, aura of silence etc.
English

@FNbunchonumbers @libbysalt The options "lose" and "lose more" are not interesting
English

@jackfrui7 @libbysalt It never has interesting play patterns *that you personally enjoy*.
Deciding when to pay and when not to is a critical part of playing with rhystic and doing it properly, discussing postgame is strategically interesting for me.
Not everyone likes the same stuff.
English

@libbysalt Then please stop strawmanning the correct argument lol
Its negative effects are amplified by poor play, yes, but never creates positive or interesting play patterns, or good deck building
I'm open to locking it in bracket 4 jail (as it is a stax piece) but a ban would be cool
English

@jackfrui7 If it’s any consolation I’m actually pro Rhystic ban

@MadamLaconic @missmardu Mana cost will always be a hurdle so Quandrix and Prismari are out.
Witherbloom dies to removal so it's out.
Silverquill needs setup but nothing crazy and the setup can self-synergize.
Lorehold is a top-rate beater with repeated card selection. The miracle is just bonus.
English

@RichardRE99 @Dozsu2U @dogfoodforgirls I actually didn't know that I had to check the rules but yeah damage gets dealt before any player gets priority.
English

@jackfrui7 @Dozsu2U @dogfoodforgirls You DO resolve damage immediate after declare blockers, though?
Not during, sure, but once Declare Blockers is done, Combat Damage doesn't have a round of priority until after the damage is finished up.
English

@Dozsu2U @dogfoodforgirls I don't think there's an appreciable difference between issuing ninjutsu at the end of declare blockers or the beginning of damage, but resolving damage immediately after (or even during) declare blockers is the worst
English

@jackfrui7 @dogfoodforgirls If you are passing priority. Isn't it always something like "okay... Before going to damages, any response?"
The one thing i find difficult is that people immediatly try to pass to damages after blockers.
As a ninjutsu player you really need to stop people from that.
English

@modormouth Considering the only character who's used "can't stop me if it's not a battle" jutsu so far has been The Knight (who presumably has much greater knowledge on the goings on of the world) I'd say I don't think she'd be able to figure out that's how The Soul works
English

if susie *was* a boss fight in WR it'd be conceptually frustrating. the incarnate of change and subversion wouldn't entertain the player with a cinematic battle. she'd do everything OUTSIDE the book to deter the player.
zarria the bi werewolf@ttrashcatt_
op deleted the tweet before i could qrt with this but i think the idea of a climatic boss fight against susie in the WR is CONCEPTUALLY interesting however when you try to organize everything up to that point it would kinda stick out like a sore thumb cuz-
English

@JayofLegend @coL_Amazonian Seems like it would go absolutely crazy with Hardened Academic. An evasive beater, discard outlet, and "leave the graveyard" payoff all in one.
English

@Zarren364 @JayofLegend @coL_Amazonian I don't know why that would be required, it would only trigger when the damage itself is dealt so that'd be max 2 times per turn (first strike damage step, regular damage step) if you managed to discard it inbetween
English

@JayofLegend @coL_Amazonian I swear to God that the second ability had a "this turn" clause on it the last time I looked.
English

@Mayfuel Yeah just gotta mosey over to the nearest wormhole and slip through subspace only for there to be a blockade on the other side so I gotta reroute through a union-allied trade route but they're gonna want to check my ship for contraband (which I have)
English

just go over there and tell them

@CandleOrtenaus in a pre-modern era the "Lord of Screens" would have a different interpretation, though. What kind of screen? Sieve? Partition? Military Formation? What does it mean to be the lord of any of those.

@33elkMTG 2012 is when ghostly flicker came out so flicker was already blue-coded.
Flash and flying are more blue than white but can be both, vigilance is mostly white and is only more recently blue.
