@kidjava @ShabazzStuart Bill has official stats everyone, sure buddy. I believe you. At any rate I’d rather pay 75 cents then 9 dollars. Maybe I’ll buy a scooter so I don’t pay anything. Actually great idea Bill, thank you for pushing me further, a scooter is a fantastic idea.

Congestion pricing opponents have gone from saying that it won't make a difference to arguing that less traffic is actually bad bc its less business for retail. Do they understand how New York City works?

@epictruthwins @ShabazzStuart Interesting…the nearest formerly free bridges show a drop in traffic, but not the Midtown Tunnel. Maybe people used to paying the toll are less price-sensitive?

@epictruthwins @ShabazzStuart And by your logic that fares should cover mass transit costs, tolls should cover road infrastructure costs. I guess you believe we should bill drivers for their road usage by vehicular miles traveled (VMT).

@kidjava @ShabazzStuart Yup bc I refused to pay 9 dollars to help the MTA because they can’t balance a budget don’t look to me for a bail out. I have a bunch of friends who do the same. If you want a better MTA then the fare should be increased.

@CPTNZacSparrow @ShabazzStuart I live in the congestion relief zone near the Williamsburg Bridge, and have a car. Congestion pricing has been a godsend in cutting back on traffic, reducing horn honking, and reducing bad driving behavior by people frustrated by the traffic.

@epictruthwins @ShabazzStuart Wait a minute…to save $9 you park outside of the congestion relief zone, take a cab to your destination ($7 just to get in the cab), then take another cab back?

@ShabazzStuart Short term, maybe. Long term I have doubts. I think the reason it is working is because most people like myself are driving around the area and parking above 61st. I then grab a cab at 59th. It will also hurt businesses because I’m not paying $9 out of premise.

@ShabazzStuart This was yesterday morning. Small decrease then what I’m used to seeing. Lastly at evening rush I see no decline in traffic or travel time.

@fior_jennifer @SilverFoxReturn @jesskcoleman I am 71 living in the congestion relief zone. The elderly need better bus service and accessible subways. The CP fee funds those. The elderly who take cabs will pay only an additional 75 cents per ride in the CRZ.

@SilverFoxReturn @jesskcoleman Track elderly ppl who need cabs to a doctor appt & now can’t afford? Person murdered going home at nite on the 🚊bc it’s unsafe & they can’t afford. There’s no cap on Uber to lessen traffic bc Uber lobbied & is exempt! 🤔

@Terpin8or @maistev @jesskcoleman You are wrong about the numbers. The TBTA has contributed $10B to the MTA since their merger in 1968. The DOT cantilever is $5B, and the Kosciusko Bridge was $1B. The US funds NYS roads at about a 2-1 margin over mass transit.

@maistev @jesskcoleman Dude, mass transit riders have been shifting the costs on drivers for decades. Go look at how much NDOT spends on MTA vs. roads in NYC. How much the TBTA gives to MTA. How much the PA gives to PATH and NJT. Mass transit is a financial black hole sucking drivers dry.

@AndySwan The “second order effects” you allude to are based on merchants’ fears, but repeatedly research shows that merchants overestimate the car users in their customer base and do better with pedestrianization . vox.com/future-perfect…

@proffriedman I was always entertained by the chuckleheads who would ask for an incomplete and then register for six classes the next semester.

Four weeks into the semester. Why do I have to run after students when I did them a favor giving an INC grade? Shouldn’t they reach out to me? (Sigh)

@billfernsNYC @JudicialProtest @JumaaneWilliams And the judge selection usually carefully keeps them out of a courtroom in which their bias could cause a conflict of interest. Did you also know that or did you only do a 3 second? Google search to come up with some bullshit that you thought made sense?

Judicial Protest
Judicial Protest@JudicialProtest·
When Judicial Protest promises, we always deliver. Our next Info drop shows that Hobo Judge Engoron’s Principal Law Clerk Allison Greenfield was ACTIVELY campaigning and petitioning to get radical Trump-hater @JumaaneWilliams on the ballot for New York Governor while the #TrumpCivilFraud case was pending. Here’s the petition where Allison Greenfield gathered signatures to get @JumaaneWilliams on the ballot, signed under oath by Greenfield: AttorneyAllisonGreenfield.com/petition.pdf. To show how radical Allison Greenfield is, @JumaaneWilliams campaigned falsely calling Trump a “racist,” was arrested twice protesting outside of Trump Tower and claimed that Trump’s supporters have “Orange Madness.” How can Trump get a fair trial when a radical left-wing activist like Allison Greenfield is steering the case against Trump and 74-year-old Hobo Judge Engoron — just one year away from mandatory retirement! There’s no accountability! Allison Greenfield has committed gross and habitual violations of the Judicial Cannons and the Rules of Professional Responsibility, which the court system is trying to hide. It’s time that we demand a MISTRIAL be declared in the #TrumpCivilFraudCase by Hobo Judge Engoron! It’s time that we demand Hobo Judge Engoron be removed from the bench! And, most importantly, it’s time that we demand Allison Greenfield be DISBARRED! Don’t let the Soros-backed losers like Michael “Convict” Cohen @MichaelCohen212, Ben “Pedo” Meiselas @Meiselasb and Michael “The Groper” Popok @MsPopok fool you with their disinformation! They are like Crackhead Santas, they never deliver. And, we will be exposing them and their disinformation in short order. 📢 AttorneyAllisonGreenfield.com 📢 JusticeArthurEngoron.com #Trump2024 #JusticeForTrump #DisbarLetitiaJames #LowIQLetitiaJames #AffirmativeActionLetitiaJames #DisbarAllisonGreenfield #HoboJudgeEngoron #ScumbagSchumer @DonaldJTrumpJr @EricTrump @LaraLeaTrump @AlinaHabba @JasonMillerInDC @DC_Draino @JackPosobiec @LaraLogan @LauraLoomer @Atensnut @BernardKerik @RudyGiuliani @AndrewCMcCarthy @TheNatPulse @DCExaminer @BreitbartNews @MaxKeiser @MRDdmia @ElonMusk @TuckerCarlson @ianmiles @RealJamesWoods @DanaWhite @JoeRogan @GGreenwald @Dom_Lucre @PeterSantilli @TheVivaFrei @Barnes_Law @ChuckGrassley @RepStefanik @MattGaetz @RepMTG @Jim_Jordan @RandPaul

@Grimblepinch @AdamBronkhorst In terms of marathons, you need robust mass transit to get runners to the starting line and from the finish line. You do not want 40000 cars clogging up the bucolic byways of the countryside.
