At least 13 males ran today in the Female category in UK parkrun.
One got 2nd Female. He’s got >90 1st Female finishes. Another 3 made the top 3 in age category.
These 13 men bumped down >1190 females.

@latsot My argument is: if men in dresses need their own space, they can campaign for it like everyone else has had to in order to get specific public spaces. Otherwise, they can use the men’s.

@jk_rowling Reducing it to “two men boxing against women” leaves out important context. Further discussions are more productive when you acknowledge the full picture rather than boiling it down to a single, loaded statement.

Today's ruling by the IOC means a welcome return to fair sport for women and girls, but I'll never forget the scandal of Paris 2024, when people who consider themselves supremely virtuous and progressive publicly cheered on men punching women.

Let's try to get this straight:
No one is 'banned'
No one is 'prevented from competing'
No one is 'excluded'
There is a sex category for everyone.
Everyone can compete, where eligible.
You need to be good, and to qualify.
So, as they sometimes say;

The new Olympic rule bans only trans women from women’s events; trans men aren’t mentioned at all. If this were truly about fairness and safety, it would apply consistently. Targeting one specific group raises serious questions about the real motive.
