When Matt Olson was named an All-Star on Saturday, he said he likely wouldn’t compete in the HR Derby because last year’s event was the ultimate experience in his hometown. Heartbreaking: Former Cowboys DE Marshawn Kneeland, who died by s**cide at age 24 last year, had Stage 1 CTE, according to a post-mortem brain tissue analysis. His family released the results of the analysis performed by the Boston University CTE Center. “Unfortunately, I was not surprised to find CTE in the brain of Mr. Kneeland, because we have found this progressive brain disease in nearly half of the athletes we’ve studied who have died before the age of 30,” Dr. Ann McKee, director of the Boston University CTE Center, said. 🙏💔

Cam Caminiti 6IP 3H 0ER 2BB 3SO 6 whiffs 87 pitches-55 strikes - Did a great job getting hisself out of trouble in a day where he didnt rack up a lot of strikeouts. After having a 2.65 era in June (4.64 in May and 5.63 in April), he doesn't give up a run to start his July. Month after month he continues to improve.
