In 1999 Ed Harris and Amy Madigan refused to applaud the honorary Oscar to Elia Kazan.
Elia Kazan had testified before the House Un-American Activities Committee (HUAC) in 1952 during the Hollywood blacklist era and named several colleagues as Communists. Those actors and writers were then blacklisted and lost their careers.
Now Amy Madigan has won Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her role in "WEAPONS".

Hawks definitely sealed it with the LARGE edge on ST & the Rams lack of rotational pass rush in NFCCG.
Those were the best two teams in the league - IMO, & it wasn’t remotely close last year.
Hope there’s more parity this szn!

One of my favorite podcasters pointed at that Boomers laughed at Gen X and Millennials for not being able to do things like change oils or build houses. Millennials and Gen X laughed at them for not being able to use a computer or code. But everyone laughs at Gen Z cause they cant do either, especially since they cant read and computer interface is much more user friendly (drag and drops, etc.)

The U.S. has been slapping around Iran for a decade. They did nothing after Trump killed Qasem Soleimani, a revered figure (in Iran AND Iraq). They did nothing after Trump "completely and totally obliterated" Iran's nuclear sites last year.
