Every year my wife and I take PTO for the first 2 days of March Madness. We go to the spa before the Thursday games start then we park ourselves on the couch with a 3 tv set up, hangout, watch basketball and eat. It’s my favorite weekend of the year!

Listening to Dave Ramsey: the caller took a $250k HELOC and bought altcoins. Lost it all. Betting your home on an investment is a terrible financial move. If it works, you make money. If it fails, you lose the place your children sleep. That risk/reward ratio is insane.

I havent paid off my 2.3% even though I have cash in a savings account to cover the balance. I think about it often, but haven't. Instead I hedge by making extra payments each month. What gets lost in the "pay off low rate or not" debate is, what a beautiful position you're in to be able to decide. Instead people who aren't in the decision want to tell people who are in that position what they should do.
