More lies. More misrepresentations. No surprise. Caitlin was fantastic in college and will be in the pros. I’ve said this repeatedly. I say it now. Most fans know this. But some give her the kind of support they’d never give others — just as deserving. Not all, but some. said it. I meant it and it’s been proven. We all know this. Twist it anyway you want. But live with it. That’s America.#Facts.

Stephen A. Smith unleashed an insane rant about Donald Trump, Caitlin Clark and racism. Instead of just accepting Clark's fans like her for her incredible skills, the media continues to make it a racially-charged issue about her being white. WATCH: outkick.com/sports/stephen…

@stephenasmith No, it hasn’t been proven. What’s been proven is you’ve been tasked with weaponizing her to divide the country racially in an election year. And you have a major problem with white people, white culture and America having predominantly white areas.

@stephenasmith No one else is “just as deserving”. She is the best college player EVER! That’s why there is the hype, not because she is white like you said.

@stephenasmith What woman’s basketball star is just as deserving? She owns the NCAA scoring record. AKA nobody is just as deserving at this point. Literally nobody.

@stephenasmith RACE DOESNT MATTER. She’s good at basketball. Period. She’s a generational talent that is making people care about the #WNBA for the first time ever. Oh but she’s white so we can’t say nice things about her.

@stephenasmith Peak Race Hustling. There are people who support *you* more than they do others. That’s not America — it’s humanity. But if all else fails, pull the racism card. Shameful work.

@stephenasmith So predominantly lesbian black WNBA players take exception to Caitlin Clark because she’s straight, white and popular, but instead of calling them out for their racism, you baselessly call Caitlin’s fans a bunch of racists in order to appease your woke Leftist overlords. Shameful

@stephenasmith You are a racist. They give Caitlin more support not because she is white but because she is good at the game and represents the profession with class. Others want support, then act professional or step aside regardless of color, gender, religion, whatever.

I don’t understand the problem. “Some give her the kind of support they would never give others”? Is that a problem? I think I may be missing the point but how is that different than Tiger Woods? Tiger entered and then dominated a game that was predominantly white men. Did “Some give him the kind of support they would never give others”? I’m pretty sure that’s exactly what happened if we are talking about race as the underlying factor. But the PGA and the golfers acted in the opposite way we are seeing with the WNBA. I’m just trying to figure out if this is perceived as a problem or if you are just pointing it out?

Stupid take, Stephen. No athlete is owed support from any fan. That’s why some sport stars are bigger than others. Tiger Woods & Michael Jordan are the biggest stars on the planets. Nobody owed anything to them but they had an “it” factor now one else did. Caitlin Clark seems to have that. Stop trying to break it down in any other terms!

@stephenasmith I'm shocked at how wrong you are on this point. There has never been anyone comparable or as deserving. She's the first global super star the WNBA has ever seen. She reminds me of Steph Curry which is why I'm such a huge supporter. #CaitlinClark

What are you talking about? People are allowed to have a favorite player. Regardless, your ilk didn’t have a problem when Serena Williams generated black people’s interest and support in Tennis and brought black people to Tennis matches. Same with other black people in other sports contexts. But you’re mad that White people support Caitlyn in the same way? Why? Your double standards are stunning.

@stephenasmith Just like how over the last decade Steph Curry has been very popular among white people. Why? Because he is a special talent who brought a new kind of excitement to the NBA. Not everything is about race, but then again I thought we are suppose to want diversity which she brings.
