Introducing Scout, an AI robot I built to take full control of my female crested gecko, Biscuit. Or I guess, Scout’s pet now. Scout runs on a Raspberry Pi, uses Grok as its brain, and was built through Grok CLI / Grok Code. The point is to move AI out of the chat window and give it control over something physical, fragile and alive. Biscuit’s environment and care loop will be managed by Scout: • water supply • food supply • moisture levels • enclosure temperature • daily routines • survival conditions A living creature whose daily survival depends on an embodied AI reading the environment correctly, making the right decisions, and maintaining the conditions she needs to stay alive.
