I am 60 years old and have lived virtually my entire life in the American South. I have never to my knowledge met a single member of the Ku Klux Klan. It is a ghost kept alive by millions of dollars in funding by the Southern Poverty Law Center to keep us divided.

Jonah remains in the NICU and is showing improvement. The Brokenbroughs gained attention in 2022 after celebrating their nuptials with a $500 wedding in Los Angeles. They kept costs low by hosting fewer than 30 people at their roadside ceremony and having guests go Dutch at the reception. Kiara told the Los Angeles Times they didn't want to go into debt over a wedding. The couple was moving from West Virginia back to California when Kiara unexpectedly died. Kiara's death came just weeks before the 10th annual Black Maternal Health Week. Black women are three to four times more likely to die during childbirth than any other demographic.

Last week AG Paxton's office reduced the first degree felony charge to two class A misdmeanors and initially offered a plea deal with NO ADDITIONAL JAIL TIME (he'd served ONE DAY in jail at that point). @ramit Whew, I love this! Having systems in place actually SAVES money. The more I plan and build systems, the less I spend.

Some unconventional ways I travel: DO: - I use an SOP (standard operating procedure) document, which includes my airline/seat preferences, what time I prefer to fly/land, when to economize and when to splurge, and more - I add 50% to any hotel sticker price — that's the real cost. $500/night = $750 after taxes, tips, meals, treatment. If that number is too high, shorten the trip or stay somewhere cheaper - Every ~10 days of travel, we have one completely unscheduled day - I send a pre-arrival letter to hotels. My wife and I don't really drink so we'd prefer berries instead of a welcome gift of wine DON'T: - We don't book many high-end food reservations. It's just not for us - Eat food on plane (even business class). True luxury is bringing your own food and walking off a plane feeling great - We never book a trip and show up to "see the sights." Each trip has a theme, how we want to feel, and we focus the travel around that. We pin items ahead of time, then we can be spontaneous while we're there, knowing we'll see a few magical things we've already set an intention for - Treat trips as "once in a lifetime."
