ruben prey is so underrated that i've written a short piece about how he's not-so-sneakily been st. john's best player, and how there's an intuitive lineup for the red storm to maximize.

as mentioned, luczynski clearly had the production profile to go d1 after his soph season. instead, he stayed another year and completely mastered the d2 level.

this is laughably robust production: his u20 fiba PER was the same as alvaro and aday. yes, it's a suboptimal stat, but well-rounded ancillary production must be respected with immense physicality, huge size, and feel, luczynski is an insanely easy bet for d1 production + beyond

in an nil space where the upper class grows richer, the addition of luczynski offers a clear margin win for a sharp team.
he offers a rare and strongly functional skillset if correctly weaponized.

draft market valuation of 7 footers has lagged due to conflation of immobility and impracticability, as well as an emphasis on "playtype" scouting. despite their proclivity for postups, size is the most clear distinction between edey and garza. kalk and broome. size is a skill.

in the last decade, just 30 players listed 7 feet+ have played meaningful minutes at the d2 level evan ramsey and conrad luczynski are inarguably two of its best ever. somehow, neither were called up to a d1 team in 2025 this will be an eventual easy margin win for a d1 program

french guard tom audry is an interesting target for ncaa teams 6'6 with 6'8 WS. sept 2007 bday rare TS% + passing+ rebounding integration. bullied u21 espoirs, and he was just called up to jeep elite. this is a nice low-friction mold, but his production should be monitored.
