@Lawyeredup1 @ArsenalN7 He’s running the literal left hand side of the attack by himself he has no overlapping fullback and no midfield to link with
English

@ArsenalN7 He was put on the left side, but he didn't actually play the LW. How many times did he get past the fullback? or help Hincapie defensively? He had some good moments, but he didn't have the intensity or involvement needed for this big match.
English

@Mo_Arsenal9 @navas_tolulope Risks win you games not sideways and backwards passes
English

@ArsenalN10 4 CB’s and 4 midfielders. Only good attacker was Eze and he got taken off for no reason. They camped on their half way line and we bought on our striker who thrives with that space with 5 minutes to go
English

@SirLeoBDasilva He’s shackled to the back 4 when his job is to drive forward because a certain Spanish midget has a panic attack when a player comes towards him
English

@DD_Jeet @AFC_Rexzzy A strikers job isn’t to create it’s to score. If a midfield can’t win a second ball it’s not the strikers fault.
English

@AFC_Rexzzy Gyokeres would have gotten zero chances today. Literally loses the ball 40% of the time. Can't hold it
English

@jimmy_mutyabule @AFC_Rexzzy Learn about football mate. A striker moving beyond a defensive line pushes the opposition back and opens space for midfielders. Playing a false 9 against a high pressing possession based side is football suicide which is why we struggle against city psg etc
English

@AFC_Rexzzy Correction:
Gyökeres has never put himself in a position of getting those chances.
His timing of runs, spacing and awareness are awful.
His build up play is shit and his touch is heavier than Artemis II
English

Number 14 registered 0 attempts, 0 shots on target, 40 touches in 207 minutes against City this season. He's had 0 npg shots on target against top 8 in EPL this season.
Kai had 30 touches, 5 shots, 2 on target, and a goal against City away. He totally transformed how we play. He occupied defenders, held the ball up, brought others into play, was dangerous in the air... everyone clearly trusts him. Give him Saka next week and we are going to be very good.
Big chances need to go in. They didn't. I can forgive a volume striker missing chances (Haaland also missed chances today), I can't forgive 0 attempts, 0 on target game after game against semi-decent opposition.
There's a new vision, and it's better.

Ultimately the highlight reels will define Kai Havertz’ game today. And even though I disagree with it, that’s sadly how it is, since he should have scored at least one of them. But what I saw was a player who has clearly been trying to get back up to speed following an injury ridden year, since today was his first 90 of the season. And I saw a player who gave us a fighting chance by being a consistent out ball. Without him, we wouldn’t have even competed today.
English

@OsmanZtheGooner No no no see Havertz starts fair we play our game but when they’re dominating possession at the start of the second half and they’re camped on their half way line that’s when you’ve gotta throw Gyokeres on. The space is there and even if he doesn’t score he pushes the team back
English

@EduardoHagn Simply wrong. Let’s start with no having 4 CB’s playing at the same time
English

We’re probably the worst team in transition in Europe.
The xG Philosophy@xGPhilosophy
This attack ends in a goal 84% of the time 🤯
English

@mister_keli @gunnerpunner That’s because city rely on their MIDFIELD to do that job🤣 it’s not a strikers job, especially in a system like the one we play
English

@gunnerpunner Did you watch Haaland this game? He was basically Gyokeres until the chance came. Do you see City dissing and coming at him for hold up play? Havertz is far better on the ball than Gyokeres but he's not Gyokeres in front of goal and that's what we needed. Like Haaland for City.
English

@AFTVMedia If you’re relying on your striker to hold on to the ball and create chances it says more about your midfield than the striker hope this helps 👍🏾
English

@NepentheZ We played against a heavily possession based side with 4 CB’s and 4 center midfielders Nep this is awful from Arteta. Havertz playing and dropping deep allowed Man City to set up on their own half way line because they knew no threat was the other way. Same old same old
English

I just don't agree. The players are making the runs, the opportunities to make the passes are there constantly.
That's from Arteta.
The ball not being played forwards but instead sideways or backwards in the name of safety....
For what reason would he enable players to make line breaking runs if they will never recieve the ball?
The truth is, we just don't have players willing or able to make the pass, and that HAS to change.
Gl@Gl39371259
@NepentheZ The line breaking passes is a manager issue, he has the team so risk adverse
English

@SemperFiArsenal @PopcornVendor12 Is this a troll? They were camped on their own half way line all game because they knew our center forward would drop for the ball? You know zero about football I’m afraid
English
