Let’s be clear about the nature of this platform: X is not the venue for serious academic discourse. Deep research, debate, and bahth require a level of rigour, patience, and a specific audience that can not be found here.

@AbdullahReads_ @amuseingtime @Simsimiyyah @oharalq There was no jarh hazrat, I just stated that no one looks to Allama Kashmiri رحمه الله when establishing the mu’tamad of the madhab, I don’t think that’s a controversial statement to say.

@funfire5 @Simsimiyyah @amuseingtime @oharalq That's like claiming Imam Tahawi is not an authority in relating the views of the madhahb, just because he departed in certain matters since he was also an alim mutabahir.

@funfire5 @Simsimiyyah @amuseingtime @oharalq Allamah Kashmiri was an alim mutabahir. An alim mutabahir has the liberty to depart from the madhahb in any masail where he believes another view is stronger. There is a difference between holding a different view and quoting what the madhahb says.

They enjoy this a lot more & it builds more trust instead of just relying on what I'm saying.

I used to skip referencing for the sake of brevity, but doing this allows students to become acquainted with more books, scholars, the library, and the tradition. I will also then briefly explain the scholar or book mentioned if it hasn't come up before.

@wannabemuhadith Farsi isn't necessary anymore. The only benefit I derive from it is reading poetry. You're missing out on a treasure trove of 'Ilm in urdu though

NEW VIDEO: The role of Indian Muslims in World War II isn't well studied. Here is a break down: youtube.com/watch?v=iKrmtx… (I made this for university, so there are no moral claims in the video)

⚡️🇬🇧BREAKING: Dr. Rahma Al-Adwan [@doctor_rahmeh] was arrested again today by London’s Met Police over social media posts for the fifth time. Seven officers handcuffed and detained her, transported her in a van, and took her to Charing Cross Police Station over posts criticizing Israel and “Jewish supremacy” during the Gaza genocide.

@leostyleorio Obviously, the question remains as to why 'A'isha was so far off in her estimation of her age then. Have heard some responses to this. I need to research this more, but it is important to remember that it is not from the necessities of deen.

@leostyleorio I don't have enough research into this, to be honest, and someone I respect highly mentioned that it is an apologetic and revisionist view. But the historical argument makes somewhat sense if the sanad is acceptable (haven't researched it as I said).
