In fact, yesterday Feb 22, was one of the BIGGEST days for new inscriptions to-date. I think it's at least in the top 10 biggest days for ordinals. As you can see, the vast majority of these new inscriptions are BRC20 mints. Image/Jpeg inscriptions are still diminimous, but they're there. Nothing quite like the legendary pre-runes airdrop Spring '24 season.

The mempool is 🔥 heating up 🔥 again! What's going on? TL;DR: the Asians are back on the BRC20s again. Fees in the low teens & ~100,000 transactions are in waiting. Overnight we have a lively fee market. Right now the mostly Chinese driven market is inscribing BRC20s, specifically "$MASK". If you didn't already know, the primary driver of fees on-chain are new BRC20 mints -- not necessarily the exchange of these assets. While some activity does occur on-chain when these assets are exchanged, the popular (and best UX) method is to send these tokens to an exchange (almost always OKX these days) and do the trading there. So secondary market volume does not really show up on-chain. (chart from @GeniiData) It's also important to note that the secondary market for BRC20s has moved largely to @okx and it's actually been pretty lively all the while the broader "shitcoin industrial complex" has taken a nosedive. The volumes over the past 30 days are decent for the BRC20 ecosystem.

They have a head start, but it seems that specs for both will come out around a similar time, implementation of front end expected to be earlier for BRC-20 Exact details on if the team is @rune_coin wasn’t disclosed. However, @BitGod21 is supposedly in the loop, he joined the space and spoke and he’s posting 🎱 Isabelle has also hinted at it heavily… In theory, this sub protocol will allow people to have AMMs and other similar defi that’s on Ethereum but for Runes.

@osf_rekt @zachxbt proper HW wallets sign transactions explicitly, so even if the malware does reach your Trezor or Ledger (that must be connected), this would trigger a signature on the HW wallet which you'd obviously decline. Typically malware targets software wallets like MetaMask etc.

@cryptotriv @zmagelinskas Even more sophisticated solutions replicate the whole tx however complicated it is through simulation and front-run the original trader, unless the trader is smart enough to use private orderflow

@zmagelinskas My understanding is that current copytrade solutions check the calldata and router addess of pending txs. You can more reliably check for events but then you'll execute 1 block later. More sophisticated solutions do simulations on pending txs.

Sharing a story found onchain: Address 0xf6 was copytrading another address 0x77 and made quite a profit. 0x77 sent 0xf6 quite the threatening message: etherscan.io/tx/0x60154b006… With no response, 0x77 deployed a new contract and only made trades there: etherscan.io/address/0xf0d6…
