Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilayhi Raji’un. I never met Sabah in person, but I was connected with her through Twitter and social media. The news of her passing was deeply saddening and came as a complete shock to me. I was heartbroken to learn that she is no longer with us. It genuinely gave me goosebumps and left me speechless. May Allah grant her the highest place in Jannah, forgive her shortcomings, and give patience and strength to her family, friends, and loved ones during this difficult time.

When Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto stepped forward to lead, they said politics was not a place for women. She proved them wrong and changed the course of history, becoming the first female PM to lead a Muslim nation. So this is not a new argument, @fawadchaudhry. It is the same prejudice and misogyny that has always stood in the way of our women’s progress. Pakistan’s proudest chapters have been written by women who refused to accept these limitations. The daughters of this country have earned their place through merit, sacrifice, and dedication across every field of service. We do not need fewer women in uniform, we need more. We are proud of every female officer who serves this nation with dedication, courage, and honour.
