What the investigation covers: 120 Democratic members of Congress, Senators Gillibrand, Warnock, and Baldwin have all demanded answers. The NYT reported the school was struck by an American Tomahawk cruise missile. Iranian officials say at least 168 people were killed - mostly girls between the ages of 6 and 12. The casualty figure has not been independently verified.
The school was located near an Iranian IRGC naval base - a base that NBC News reported had been closed for over a decade, per Iran's education ministry and a local parent.
Hegseth stated on March 3 that Operation Epic Fury would have "no stupid rules of engagement."
