There has only been one coach in my lifetime that's ever led a team to the Final Four and then taken another coaching job the next week.
Who was that coach?
Roy Williams.
He left Kansas for North Carolina in 2003 after taking the Jayhawks to the title game.

Baseball game broadcasts are so unique because one minute the announcers are narrating and commenting on the game and the next minute they are rating hotdogs for the entire inning.

@nickbateman33 Idk if this does but in his press conference after the Purdue win, he made this weird comment about the Arizona being in great hands for whoever the next coach is. I think that is subliminal messaging for him gone at season’s end.

All told a resilient outing from Webb and it appears Tony Vi’s lineup changes are working. Turns out the Giants aren’t as bad as that opening series against the Yankees.

I gotta say, I thought hitting Adames leadoff was kinda weird as he’d only had 9 career plate appearances in 2 games batting first. He was 4/9 in those at bats.
With his 4 hit game today he’s now 9/18, 2HR, a double, and 3 RBI

I think one of the early things we’ve seen from Vitello is that he likes to stick with his guy on the mound. Examples include Webb on Opening Day, Roupp in his last inning yesterday, Walker last night, and Webb facing the Padres’ three best hitters in the 5th tonight. #SFGiants

The fact that the offense is the biggest concern thus far brings me some peace of mind. There are enough good hitters for them to be good.
The starting pitching and bullpen have been a fantastic surprise. Go win a series tomorrow!

@yastrzemskiszn Yaz career with SF: .227 BA. Bader in his career: .235 BA. Both are A+ defenders. It’s a lateral move. Bader isn’t an upgrade nor downgrade!
