So Todd Blanche’s father was the leader of a cult from the basement of their house. Let’s look into that

@sandibachom Yes please. Tulsi Gabbard’s family was in a cult as well. They went from one cult to another. Personally I find that disturbing.

Q: Since Watergate, there has been a firewall between the White House and DOJ TODD BLANCHE: That is the most false statement I have ever heard in my life. There is always communication between a president and his priorities and what the DOJ should be focused on and not focused on

Ten years ago, there would have been wall-to-wall news coverage for days if a top U.S. government official publicly insisted "the hand of God" had teleported him to a Waffle House. It would result in a resignation. Today, it barely cracks through the national discourse.

@BulwarkOnline @Timodc @BillKristol Of course, since it was a Waffle House no one thought anything of a flying car landing in the parking lot. It's not like it crashed through a plate glass window and hit someone at the counter who was finishing their five-way hashbrowns.

"In college, a couple of times I kind of came to at a Waffle House — I wouldn't say that it was teleporting." @Timodc and @BillKristol discuss a top FEMA official claiming he was teleported 50 miles to a Waffle House.

What began as a routine check triggered by a persistent odor led to an unsettling discovery: a hidden lab operating inside a California warehouse containing dangerous pathogens including HIV, malaria, COVID-19 and Ebola. latimes.com/california/sto…

@hecubian_devil Wait, that’s backwards of what I’d expect. I’d expect simple black coffees to be overwhelming conservative white men.

I was a barista for 4 years and a customer’s partisanship was strongly predicted by how complicated/sugary their order was (after adjusting for race, gender, and age). Black coffee orders at Starbucks are overwhelmingly driven by liberal white men.

"This is a cup of Starbucks coffee. I checked: The most popular Starbucks coffee drink is a caramel macchiato. Caramel macchiato. Now I don't know what that is. I haven't had it. I generally don't drink coffee that takes ten or more words to order." -- @SenJohnKennedy

BREAKING: Moments ago at the White House this took place. A bunch of old people praying for a convicted felon, adjudicated rapist, who appears to have just blown up 100+ Iranian schoolchildren, while he hides the Epstein files, in which he appears in thousands of times. We are a joke.

@tollymom @MatthewCoast @heyjustpray I have 2 also. Worked part-time until my marriage ended. We are lucky to have the career option to freelance to keep skills sharp. My field has completely changed since I entered it. I have friends who did have difficulty reentering.

@Ardmore_WS @MatthewCoast @heyjustpray I have 2. I was a comms director and left my job to raise them. Like you, I’m a writer. I freelanced on my own schedule while they were young and in school so I could be there for them. After they graduated, I went back into the workforce with no questions re work gaps.

JUST WONDERING HOW MOMS are supposed to work 9-5, drop the kids off at school at 8 AM, pick them up by 3 PM, stay on top of school activities, meal prep, cook dinner, keep the house clean, do the laundry, run the kids to extracurricular activities, climb the corporate ladder, save sick days for when the kids are sick, be a good friend, daughter, and partner, all while trying to take care of their own body and mental health…

@heyjustpray @neovandy @MatthewCoast Models? Try anyone who works in a field touched by technology. Start your own business? With what seed money on one income? Yes, people can return to teaching, law, nursing if they have kept licenses current and done their continuing ed. But I disagree on the most jobs part.

@neovandy @Ardmore_WS @MatthewCoast That may be true for models, or I don’t know what else, but pretty much not true for most jobs. Start a business and be your own boss. Problem solved.
