🟥 Heuro has just made a major splash in the euro stablecoin market and has become the industry leader In an interview with @TheBigWhale_, CEO @PatrickStarkman (CEO of the French issuer) breaks down the mechanics behind a massive new issuance and lays out ambitions that stretch well beyond the crypto world. 👉 "With our additional 600 million, we're roughly doubling the existing volume of euro stablecoins" Before this issuance, the total market for euro-denominated stablecoins sat at around €800 million — including €355M for @Circle's EURC and €105M for @SG_Forge's EURCV. In a single operation, HEURO (@OuiTrust_EUR) pushed that figure past the billion-euro mark. Put differently: one issuer now weighs as much as the entire market that existed before it showed up. We're still a long way from dollar stablecoin dynamics, where USDT and USDC move tens of billions. But that's exactly the point: the euro stablecoin space started from such a narrow base that the arrival of a well-capitalized player is enough to completely reshape the balance of power. 👉 "Exchanges use our stablecoin to settle transactions. Their clients can buy, sell, and hold positions directly in HEURO" HEURO isn't spreading through retail channels or consumer marketing. It's spreading through market infrastructure. @kucoincom, @binance, @Bybit_Official — these platforms are integrating the token as a settlement rail, which spares their users the costly back-and-forth with the banking system. It's a textbook institutional distribution play: plug into the plumbing first, and the volume follows. Over 100,000 wallets already hold HEURO, largely through this very logic. 👉 "Moving euros within a corporate group takes two to three days today. With a stablecoin, it takes seconds" Patrick Starkman isn't positioning the stablecoin as a crypto tool. He's framing it as an alternative to traditional cash management circuits. Intercompany cash pooling, cross-border payments, FX optimization, and so on. These are pain points that CFOs know all too well, and where friction remains substantial. 🟥 Exclusif @TheBigWhale_ Pour désamorcer les tensions politiques entourant le rachat d'Exaion (filiale EDF) par le géant américain Mara, l'Élysée a fait appel à Xavier Niel. Le patron du groupe Iliad pourrait entrer au capital pour "franciser" l'opération. Cela permettrait de limiter les critiques sur la perte de souveraineté d'une filiale technologique issue du giron d'EDF. Et au passage offrir au milliardaire un investissement stratégique. Aucune répartition capitalistique n'a filtré, mais Mara désirait prendre 64 % initialement. Sans majorité d’origine européenne le débat restera inchangé... 👉 Business de la flexibilité Le capacité du futur Exaion à adapter son niveau de consommation (principalement via le minage de Bitcoin) pour absorber les surplus d'électricité est une énorme opportunité. Pourquoi ? La Programmation pluriannuelle de l'énergie (PPE 3) prévoit une accélération massive de la production, alors que le pays fait déjà face à une situation de surcapacité chronique (130 TWh annuels). Il est donc crucial de trouver des gros consommateurs d'électricité capables de s'effacer en quelques secondes lorsque le réseau se tend. 👉 La modulation des réacteurs nucléaires abîme les centrales On pourrait se dire qu'il n'y a qu'à baisser la puissance des réacteurs comme on baisserait le chauffage lorsqu’ils n’y a pas assez de demande… Sauf que cela entraîne une fatigue thermique et mécanique. Et donc d'énormes coûts. Un peu comme lorsqu'une voiture tourne en sous-régime. C'est un rapport interne d'EDF qui explique cela, mais celui-ci a été étouffé par le gouvernement (le sujet est très chaud). De nombreux médias se le sont néanmoins procuré, dont @LEXPRESS : lexpress.fr/economie/modul… 👉 Le sujet de la souveraineté Disposer d'un acteur qui sera capable de stabiliser le réseau alors que l'exécutif prévoit d'augmenter fortement la production d'électricité est crucial. Mais les opposants à Mara jugent qu'il est trop risqué pour la souveraineté technologique et énergétique de laisser à une entreprise américaine un quasi-monopole sur une activité aussi stratégique. Si Xavier Niel entre bien au capital, il s'agira de voir dans quelles conditions et surtout quel poids il aura au conseil d'administration. 🟥 Interview @TheBigWhale_ avec @brian_armstrong Nous avons rencontré le CEO de @Coinbase à Abu Dhabi pour un entretien exclusif. Quelques points qu'on peut retenir : 👉 Il aura fallu trois ans de due diligence et de négociations pour signer le partenariat avec BlackRock (Coinbase assure la conservation des ETF du géant). Une métrique qui rappelle que pour la "TradFi", la conformité et l'audit (Big Four notamment) sont des prérequis non négociables, bien avant l'innovation technologique. 👉 Un levier de 500 milliards de dollars : C’est le montant des actifs désormais sous gestion chez Coinbase. Plus qu'un chiffre de dépôt, c'est un canal de distribution massif que l'entreprise offre aux émetteurs traditionnels pour tokeniser leurs fonds. 👉 La thèse de l'"Everything Exchange" : La vision de Brian Armstrong dépasse les cryptos "natives". L'objectif est de devenir l'infrastructure back-office des banques pour tokeniser actions, dettes et matières premières, réduisant ainsi drastiquement les risques de règlement-livraison.
