I hate GenAi. I hate that it exists. I hate that it makes everything seem fake in a world already rife with frauds and scammers. It disconnects us further from each other and the human gift of art, for no discernible reward I can fathom. It feeds all our worst qualities: laziness, historical and literary degeneracy, dishonesty and covetousness. It turns people into thieves that argue back in total absurdity: “I should have the right to steal and lie.” It is poison delivered by keystroke.

Human beings have been writing since around 3200 BC and yet for some reason tech bros (gender neutral) still think we can’t form a coherent thought or create anything worth reading without AI. It truly is so bewildering.

I was accused by some a-hole on another app of using AI to compose my music. I can't even put into words how angry I was. Every single note, every melody, every chord, every rhythm, all of it, it's all mine. I would never use AI to "create" anything, even if you paid me. This generative AI thing has gotten way out of hand and I despair of any actual solutions beyond educating people on what's going on here.

This is why AI detectors WILL NEVER WORK. This was my writing, handwritten by me ON MY OWN without the help of any LLM. I ran it through Winston and Pangram (two leading AI checkers) and here are the very different results. Don't be fooled. AI Checkers don't find real AI at all.

@mermaidwrites You do exhibit the misuse of common punctuation frequently attributed to text produced by LLMs. It might be interesting to see if you get the same results after correcting that.
