@CterminiPhD Took buying a house to get ours set up but I love this wall so much! Grandad’s last gift to me was my diploma frame. Generations of high school degrees to this - he was so proud 🧡 also please enjoy top left pic which is what all normal people do when they wear regalia right?!

It took a decade, but my degrees are finally framed and displayed. I often reflect on all the things I didn’t know as a first generation college grad compounded with all ways my parents provided me their unwavering support in the face of those unknowns. It made a huge difference.

We ran our first official DNA gel in the beautiful shared space of the Miller Lab and @dafang07 Lab. Many many thanks to @taraenders for helping my student and I with the 20 things I forgot I needed to run a gel. Time to order more things! Glow-up lab reno pics coming soon!

This was such a fun project to work on, and a fantastic team of scientists to do it with (including my first undergraduate mentee to be an author on a paper with me!). Genetic screens are my jam, and I relish any opportunity to show all of the great discoveries they can lead to.
