@mandalorymory 5v5 is counter heavy therefore enforces counter picking. 6v6 is teamwork heavy therefore it enforces teamwork. Sadly it's a lot easier to just counter pick rather than to play as a team.

If I play Ramattra against a Zenyatta in 5v5, I’m throwing and NEED to swap. No ifs, no buts But in 6v6? I have a duo tank to work with. A Winston who can dive him, or a Zarya who can bail me out when it gets tough Layers. Depth. 6v6 has it. 5v5 is rock-paper-scissors sim.

@AryaTayebi What if some of you biggest content creators teamed up and made a discord server, a one stop shop for most popular fighting games. It could be a lounge for fighting games. And with the combined power of the biggest Tekken/SF creators I think it could be done.

I miss arcade culture and playing offline. Face to face you laugh things off, it's just a better experience. But let's not rewrite history, we complained about these games nonstop back then too (mostly about the same things). That shared frustration was part of the fun. (1/2)

@BcomeZen I think Tekken 6 is probably right up your alley. It's basically modern Tekken just without a lot of the superfluous bells and whistles they added in later entries.

Been giving Street Fighter X Tekken some time recently. Awful music, art direction like Grappler Baki swallowed a box of crayons. But the game itself is really fun! The Street Fighter take on Tekken characters is super interesting. Want to dive deeper, but no one plays it here.

@AryaTayebi I would also say, that Tekken lost a bit of it's flair/style when it comes to T8. Tbh it started with 7 but there it's less prominent. We've always had crazy looking shit in the games, but the way the crazy looking shit was presented was much more appealing to the eye.

@AryaTayebi This tends to happen when a product isn't fulfilling it's purpose to an amount of audience. And that audience happens to be very knowledgeable about the product. I can assure you if T8 was fun, little bit of poor balancing wouldn't hurt people as much.

I think we've lost the plot a bit with fighting games. Balance, systems, competitive depth, all of that gets dissected to death, but what about...is it fun? Feels like that isn't the top priority anymore.
