@climatebabes @PaulSan56345114 @pickover By the definition of a circle: the set of (x,y) pairs (i.e. 2d points) that are solutions to r^2=x^2+y^2 for a set r. If r=0, then only (0,0) solves that equation. This the a circle of radius zero is the set consisting only of (0,0)

@climatebabes @PaulSan56345114 @pickover All of this message destroys your precious points, even the parts that could be coherent. The bit about the same point is irrelevant. Being able to drive pi from a circle is irrelevant. Those truths aren't germane to the definition of a circle. With the nonsense, are you a bot?

I disagree. I name things behaviorally. So if there is no space to traverse or points in between two points they are the same point and there is no distance between them. Someone else noted that you can't derive Pi from a circile with radius zero. I find that QED : Its not a circle. Numbers are abstract by nature, we create them a circle is a configuration of points we made rules for.

@climatebabes @PaulSan56345114 @pickover That is incorrect. Having no distance (or a distance of zero) is still a measure of distance, and therefore a distance by definition. To argue otherwise is equivalent to trying to state the zero isn't a number because you can't hold any fingers up while counting to it.

Consider a number that consists of the decimal digits of pi, in reverse order. A portion of "backwards pi" is show in the figure. It has the same digits as pi, but they go forever to the left instead of the right. → Is "backwards pi" a real number? (Thanks to @ztwiig for providing this idea.)

We have reached the point in the year where my mom starts asking what I want to do for my birthday and my answer is always the same (family dinner), bc the real answer, play DnD all day with my friends, is not feasible due to everyone I'd tap to play living in different states.

You don't feel comfortable reading it personally, that's fine. But bu this logic there is not a single great work that has come out of Europe or the US or any nation that had "Empire" in the 19th & 20th centuries after it's name that we should read. 1/?

PSA FOR ALL YOUTUBE CREATORS/VIEWERS Youtube has implemented AI filters at the start of August and it is decimating a lot of channels. For some people it was turned on automatically, basically rendering a lot of videos they usually enjoy fully invisible. If you've noticed a significant unexplained drop in views in the last 3-4 weeks this is the likely cause. The crew and I were breaking our brains trying to figure out what we are doing wrong, some potential bangers flopped like they were hot garbage. Turns out Youtube started running this AI filter without notifying anyone really. We took a big hit in ad revenue, sponsorship potential revenue and mental. Make sure your favorite creators know why this is happening so they don't lose their heads. Also don't forget to disable this Restricted Mode if you want keep seeing our vids and many other videos you may have missed. If you want to run a test, go to a random channel you enjoy, enable the Restricted Mode and you will see their Videos from 6 months or a Year shown as the "Latest" uploads. The second image here is from our channel with the filter. Not sure how the future looks for us here if this keeps on going, we will have to figure something out in the upcoming months. Hopefully we don't lose the battle with AI...

@TheWordN3rd Haven't looked too much into it, but my understanding is that they've got actual explosions happening. That's more energy that a small phone battery is capable of storing. Sudden fires, certainly. Pressure waves? Eh

So I saw something about explosives potentially being added before they hit the market, but the number of devices being affected now makes me wonder if they're not somehow overloading the battery and turning off any fail safes...
