SAN FRANCISCO IS FAILING VICTIMS Repeat offenders → released → harm again • Diversion → violent crime • Released → seniors attacked • Repeat offenders → back on streets THIS IS A PATTERN — NOT ONE CASE We respect the work of @SFDA and @SFPD. We know this case was hard, and we appreciate the effort. But the system still allowed probation in a violent case. WHY ARE WE WAITING YEARS TO ACT? WHY ARE REPEAT OFFENDERS STILL ON OUR STREETS? This affects everyone in our city—especially seniors and vulnerable people. WE NEED: • Stronger state laws from our leaders • No diversion for repeat violent offenders • Mandatory consequences • Faster trials • Support for SFPD & prosecutors • Better tracking of repeat offenders PUBLIC SAFETY MUST COME FIRST Protect our seniors. Protect our city. “In memory of Vicha Ratanapakdee— we must protect our seniors and our community.” #SanFrancisco #PublicSafety #JusticeForVicha #ProtectOurElders #VoiceofChange #District2 #MonthanusRatanapakdee

The judge issued an 8-year sentence but stayed it, placing him on probation instead. He will only serve prison time if he violates probation. In the #GrandpaVicha case, the defendant will serve no prison time at this moment. Judge Colfax ruled that public safety and rehabilitation are better served through probation. This reflects a pattern of prior leniency, including earlier juvenile proceedings where probation was also given. Only if probation fails could he serve the full 8 years. Our family and community are devastated. #JusticeForVicha #RememberVicha #ProtectOurSeniors #SanFrancisco #StandForAsian

It's official: A San Francisco judge just suspended the sentence of Antoine Watson, Grandpa Vicha's killer, and released him on probation. The judge said she thought imprisonment would have a "poor impact" on Watson. This is the state of SF courts. gli.st/lvyg5lck

It's shocking that the board at @KQED would jeopardize its 501c3 status to arbitrarily exclude me from their 3/31 congressional debate. My campaign sent a demand letter yesterday and they refused to admit me in violation of the Equal Time statute. We will now be filing a formal complaint with the FEC.
