Today I learned that @CoinDesk retracted my opinion article on @chainalysis The article detailed an expert testimony given by Chainalysis head of investigations Elizabeth Bisbee, in which she admitted to having no scientific evidence of the software's accuracy. Coindesk did not inform me of the retraction, nor did it disclose the substantial investment its parent company, DCG, has in Chainalysis Inc. Such actions fall short of all and any standards a journalistic outlet should aspire to uphold in the face of its duties to inform the public without bias or prejudice. We need independent media that can be trusted to act in favor of the people, putting factual reporting over shareholder incentives. Unfortunately CoinDesk isn't it.
