@DCinvestor Because there is only one party. Any your vote does not matter. It is all an illusion. Our tax dollars have been confiscated, and doled out for favors, fraud and corruption. No matter the party. We get minimum service to keep the blinds on. They get the rest.

what’s the best, grand unified theory on why Republicans seem totally OK with losing the House and possibly the Senate in the 2026 midterms, getting their POTUS impeached, and probably losing the next presidential election in 2028?

Ok, Jamie: Let me clear things up for you. If my 5% wealth tax on billionaires was enacted you’d owe $135 million more in taxes & a family of 4 making $150,000 or less would receive a $12,000 payment. Oh, and you’d still be worth more than $2.5 billion. Seems pretty fair to me.
Acyn@Acyn

Kilmeade: What do you say to people like Bernie Sanders who says billionaires don't pay their fair share? Dimon: I don't know what he means by fair share

@EmmanuelAcho Being the son of a pastor doesn't mean you have special knowledge. That you think it does, shows your ignorance of the Word.

Jaden Ivey has to understand freedom of speech does not mean freedom of consequence. Also, you serve God. You’re not God. As the son of a pastor this topic means a lot to me and I’m praying for Jaden Ivey’s mental health. My full thoughts:

This wasn’t an improvement. MacKenzie Scott’s use of her divorce money shows it was the upgrade of the century. My dude traded a Prius for an SL550. Love it for the Bezos. Way to go, buddy. Live free or die.
Rebekah Jones@GeoRebekah

Men think this is an improvement. MacKenzie Scott, Princeton graduate, writing novels at age six, studied under Toni Morrison, founded Amazon, and one of the biggest philanthropists in the history of humanity. Versus.. whatever the fuck this is.

@DrKarlynB I vote based on prioritized policies. Not people. Not party. Because I never 100% agree with anyone much less any party platform. For me, it is hold my nose and vote.

And no - Kamala would not have been a solution. She was incredibly weak as a candidate. Seems to have a drinking problem. Communist leaning. Would have been uniparty / America Second also.

I’m a Republican. I supported Trump. I raised money for him, I voted for him. I donated $60,000 to his campaign. Trump lied. He rugpulled us all. I didn’t vote for Lindsey Graham / America Second policies. You can disagree with me if you want. It’s your right to be fooled. But if you say I have “TDS” or am a “liberal” you need a new argument. There are millions of conservatives and members of the now torched “broad coalition” just like me. The only ones left supporting him are MAGA always Trumpers who place the man above the policies and our country.

@MattWalshBlog I quit flying during the covid hysteria. I drive now. Even if it is a 30-hour drive. I pull in behind a big truck, ride the draft, listen to Frank or Duke, sometimes Yours Truly Johnny Dollar, and just enjoy the peace.

Flight delayed on tarmac. Missed our connection. Based on the other flights available, which were also delayed, and the fact that taking a flight tomorrow would require getting back into a security line stretching seemingly for miles, we decided to get a car and drive five hours to our destination. That’s how bad air travel is right now. Driving is faster. Air travel is awful in this country. People don’t realize just how much it sucks unless they have to do it a lot. It’s not just TSA. Flight delays. Air traffic control issues. Service is even worse than usual. Every airport is crowded and slow and worn down and dirty. Everyone brings their dogs. The term “service animal” doesn’t mean anything anymore. Air travel used to be luxurious. People used to wear suits. Working for an airline was prestigious. The employees took it seriously. It sucks now. It’s terrible. This is the kind of thing our leaders should be fixing. Because the most frustrating thing is that it is so eminently fixable. If only anyone bothered to try.

@Hischosen816 @thedudeman217 @realpeteyb123 If he is in commercial construction, if he is any good, he can be making double or triple than in 2 years. In 5 years, he can move anywhere and be making 6 figures. If he is good at it. The industry is crying out for good PMs and superintendents. I am always looking.

He lived with me for a bit. But I moved to a place that doesn’t offer great employment opportunities. He’s a construction assistant project manager (just got started about 7 months ago). He is taking on more responsibilities and gaining experience for a potential promotion to project manager. He can then leverage his experience in the field. He’s done side jobs and part time jobs before, but this job is wearing him out!!

I’m fucking tired. I’m tired of this shit. I’m tired of giving my loyalty and getting lied to again. I swear on everything, this is the last time I give that kind of loyalty away. I don’t even want to write this. I’d rather shut this account down, disappear into the Mediterranean, sit in my villa, drink local wine, watch my kids grow up, smoke a cigarette, and forget all of this. But I can’t. I’ve done well for myself. I don’t need this. I stay because I care, and I’ll stay a little longer for my kids. But I’m fucking tired. I’m tired because my fellow Americans are struggling. They can’t buy homes. They can’t go out. They can’t live the life they were promised. And we sit there and call them lazy. That’s bullshit. We send our money everywhere else. We fight wars for others. We fund everything except our own people. We could have built something great here. For us. For our kids. For generations. Instead, we’re squandering it. Like we have for so many decades now. Weak leadership. Corruption. People who are easily manipulated. And a population that keeps buying into it. Enough. Enough of this shit.

This is nonsense. We have thousands of pages worth of studies on anti-competitive practices in the meatpacking industry just from the past decade. We don’t need any more studies—we already know what needs to be done. We just need to do it. There is a bill to break-up the Big Four meatpackers in the Senate right now, co-sponsored by Leader Schumer and 13-14 other Democrats. If Rep. Davids is serious about fighting corporations rigging the system to steal from American families, she should introduce a corollary bill in the House immediately.
Rep. Sharice Davids@RepDavids

I joined a bipartisan group of Kansas lawmakers to demand investigations into anti-competitive practices of the meatpacking industry — because no corporation should be able to rig the system at your expense.

I was told I’m a Boomer because I don’t hate builders enough. We can hate the crap or low quality. But also you can choose not to buy it. Yeah yeah I get you have to live somewhere. There’s a lot of status quo and lack of change none of us like But who do you think builds residential housing? Serious question, have you given it some thought? I know of almost no one who bought land in cash, built their house in cash Even if you built your own house but with bank debt, that is an "investor". The bank lent you the money At scale, guess how large national homebuilders build housing? With investors- you may hear it referred to as private capital, private debt, private equity institutional money, a real estate fund, bank debt, corporate bonds, etc The rhetoric that investors should be banned is just dumb or that we should ban is dumb Your entire modern existence exists off credit. Off investors who extend you the credit. Minions and unicorns are not building housing nor providing credit.

According to an estimate by Texas A&M, dairy farms that employ immigrant workers produce 79% of the nation’s milk supply – and the price of milk would double without them. nytimes.com/2026/03/27/us/…
