A woman who is a member of a Facebook group for widows and widowers sent me the screenshot below. She says Kouri Richins asked to join the group in March 2023 and posted the following message. "Such an incredible breach of all of our trust," the woman wrote me. Weeks later, Kouri was arrested and charged with killing her husband. Closing arguments in her case are scheduled for tomorrow. The jury will then deliberate until a verdict is reached.

The #KouriRichins trial is like a bad reddit-story. "My wife tried to poison me, should i get a divorce?" "Dear reddit, my sister, who watches over me like a hawk, calls night and day to ask about my sexlife, my medications, where i am, where i am going etc, is convinced my allergic reaction to a sandwich 2 weeks ago was my wife trying to poison me. But i am allergic to everything, so i think she is exaggurating. My sister even has a record going back to 2016 of everything my wife have done wrong, and it is a long list. A few years ago, my sister and her husband did a "intervention" and wouldn't stop until i said yes to go to a divorce attorney. Now that went away after a while and we didn't get a divorce. Now, my wife is not an angel, she has repeatedly signed my name on loans and stuff, and she is away a lot on meetings and late night stuff for work (she is a realtor). She says she flips a lot of high end mansions, but somehow she is always broke and i have to bail her out. She always hands me drinks that taste weird, but she says she wants me to try new stuff, so i'll drink it. As a matter of fact, she just handed me a drink, a moscow mule? And told me to drink it while she go get the kids to bed. Any advice? I will update tomorrow. Ps, this Moscow Mule has a weird medicin aftertaste, i think i have to go lay down.

@nonsequitur2787 THANK YOU! I have felt like a weirdo loner over in the corner since they charged her because the things the state was saying didn’t make sense to me and I didn’t see the proof of their claims. I’ve tried pointing out that in order for her to close on the house he had to sign too.

The state has just introduced more testimony and evidence that effectively says: “look at how evil she is, she had an affair, cheated on him, and sent texts about buying drugs for her investor. Ignore all the missing evidence, lack of proof, and convict this bitch”. This will be amplified by the crowd who presumes guilt, there will be comments like “Boom” or “gotcha now Kouri…GUILTY!” But to those of us who care about due process, demand proof before condemning a defendant, and hold the government to their very high burden of proof - this is still nothing! This does not remove reasonable doubt, nor offer proof of anything. Stop treating these cases as a reality tv show. Innocent people are often convicted precisely because of this type of thinking…Choosing your side, ignoring conflicts in evidence, and dismissing valid points out of hand. You could be sitting at that table someday. Would you want the state to prove your guilt, or would you be content with life in prison because a bunch of true crime follower’s vibes and gut feelings? We need to do better. Fight your own biases, acknowledge the unlimited power and resources of the government and think critically. Starting with the presumption of innocence! Rant over.

They mostly higher of referrals and the people who work there stay.
